    Football is broken, 350 mil net spend not even on bad players to be told you can't compete etc. Etc. I don't know where football goes from here. My guess is as City and Chelsea buy the prem more and more teams won't be able to catch up until the prem is like La Liga or Serie A or Bundesliga. Boring as shit because there is no parity. There is a 6-0 every weekend and 2 or 3 clubs win 95% of titles.

    He'll look better. He's practically guaranteed to have more time on the ball now. We are talking about going from a side with about 48% possession to a side that will average mid 60%. That's literally another 15 minutes to share around the team. He will have the ball almost as much if not more especially if he plays through the centre which he should. He'll be their 2nd best player next season and their best in a year's time. Again big IF here in that he actually goes.

    I think Ings is coming here to preserve his career. If he goes to somewhere where he is the no 1 he'll be playing 40 games a season and he knows his body won't be able to handle that. We could probably get away with playing him about 2000 minutes this season and if he's 100% he'll be firing on all cylinders.

    Imagine saying Tammy is all round. Dude is literally worse at dribbling than Chris Wood and has scored 1 goal outside the box in his professional career. And that goal was because the keeper ran to meet him on the edge of the 18 yard box. Not some great strike.

    Great deal. I love these +1 deals. Prevents rot like Micah Richards being on the bench for 5 years. But gives you the same security as a deal with an extra year on it.

    If he does go, I think the vast majority of villa fans will be done with him. Including me. There will be no forgiveness. We are on the verge of top 6 and top 4. If he leaves now he kills the momentum. And he doesn't deserve forgiveness for that. After he's done he'll still claim to support us but none of our fans will have any time of day for him. Nor should they.

    Well I reckon we have 35-40 mil in the budget before any potential Grealish sell. Ings is a workhorse. No concerns about the defence. Not even close to the same as Barkley.

    I think it will be Bailey (RW)- Ings (SS) - Buendia (LW) Watkins (ST) If Grealish goes. If not Grealish through the middle. Ings to be 2nd choice most of the time to help preserve his career.

    Maybe this is a move to prolong his career. At Southampton he needs to play every minute of every match but here we have Watkins. We can play him in big matches, play them together, bring one of them off the bench. He'll still probably play about 30 games or so this season but with less of a minute load maybe?
