    Completely agree. If he does leave now after saying those words it will leave a really sour taste. Not a legend, I'm afraid. Legendary status is a really exclusive club.

    Oh absolutely, I agree people are jumping the gun. I've no idea which way it will go yet. Just talking hypothetically about the worse case scenario that he does leave.

    I don't want to go down the snake route either and don't think I can ever bring myself to hate him. I just can't stop thinking about the words "My City. My Club. My Home". If he did leave less than 12 months after those words then I just can't help but feel like they weren't honest. He said he was sold on the future plans of the club, not just the next 12 months or so.

    True. It was by far Luiz and Trezeguet's best spells for the club.

    Nonsense. We were going down until Covid kicked in and paused the season. When it restarted again it was as clear as day that Smith and the coaches had used the break to improve the defence. That is what kept us in the league. We were so much more robust afterwards. Funnily enough, the spell after the covid break until the end of the season, Grealish was quite poor by his standards.

    This is why it does my head in when fans of other clubs say things like "oh he's not worth that much' etc. Not just about Grealish, I mean players in general. Any club has the right to demand whatever price they want for any of their players. It's then up to a buyer to match that fee. It doesn't matter what Paul Pogba once went for when talking about how much Grealish is worth to Villa.

    I trust NSWE so much that I know they will be prepared for all possibilities. Plans will be in place either way. No way will they just panic and wing it.

    Actually, I can't even find a picture of Mings anywhere. Seems they've just used Watkins and McGinn on the officially site.

    The metadata for the images shown here... have a creation date of 5th July. Grealish was with England then. So was Mings and if you look, he's in none of the pictures in that link. So that suggests McGinn and Watkins did their shoot on the 5th July and Mings did his later. No idea what that means in regards to Grealish though

    NSWE aren't to be messed with. Love that. Sounds like maybe there is not release clause after all and the ball is in NSWE's court. I trust them 100%, whatever happens.
