  1. Only one loser here and that’s Brentford was hoping he would have been sold in the summer for big money the club will now sell him for considerably less as he has refused a new contract that has 2 years to run.Despite other clubs fans spewing their hate towards him they will be chanting his name if he was to sign for them.some of our own fans were chanting his name last week at spurs,I wasn’t one and hope he’s moved on asap as he’s a wrong un.From what I’m hearing this is the thin end of the wedge and the net is spreading and more players will be exposed ( not Brentford but other PL clubs).Despite his impressive goals record we can be just as good without him and remember we have never lost a PL game when he hasn’t played we have goals in Wissa Mbeumo and Shade and no doubt will sign another striker.

Anyone know if toney is injured?

Yes didnt play last Sunday due to injury picked up in Liverpool game previous weekend. Was not expected to play in any of the 2 remaining games due to this and now obviously won’t.

  3. It’s a 5 month ban for betting what that detail was we will find out in the next week then is the time to have a debate whether it was fair or not. Some other info for those who think it’s unfair that Toney has played in games that effect top and bottom of PL.Brentford have never lost a game in the PL when Toney hasn’t started.

Someone at the FA had a few quid with Ladbrokes on the outcome.

Nothing to do with the FA the ban was decided by an independent tribunal so the FA could appeal against its decision

  5. Only loser here is Brentford football club Toney will fly off to Dubai or similar still drawing his considerable wages and have a life of luxury.Meanwhile his value to the club will have greatly reduced while his potential personal gain will increase.I think the ban is a lot less than I expected I was expecting him to move on for a lot of money this summer but that’s not going to happen.Just another example of over paid thick footballers I would add most of these bets were placed before he joined Brentford

Take a shot everytime a Liverpool player makes an obvious foul then screams at the ref it wasn't a foul.

    "Got the ball!!!!"

Yes unreal how their fans and players contest every foul.Yesterday was the usual nonesense at the home of the most overrated fans in the league crap atmosphere over zealous stewards. Not bothered about the result although thought we could easily have got a point but all in all what an odious football club

  7. Would have taken the draw before the game but disappointed with not winning after what was a good performance from us.Kept Oli quiet due to Franks tactics but also helped by the poor service he got.Good to see Villa fans mixing with home fans at the cricket club before the game first time I’ve seen away fans there.Hope we can hold on for a top ten finish which will be a good achievement Villa still have every chance of getting top 6 finish but will have to play better than that.

Newcastle are a bunch of thugs tbh. Last time we played them, Joelinton was basically allowed to assault Dougie with impunity.

I was very surprised how much they are a team of the so called dark arts and how much Eddie Howe and his staff are involved in this. When you lose it always sounds like sour grapes but I’m not using that as an excuse. When the ref put up 4 minutes extra time which was unbelievable should have been at least double with all the injuries/subs mainly Toons rolling around the Newcastle bench went mad at the 4 th official.Eddie Howe is the media darling at the moment for some reason I don’t know.why.

Toney has already accepted guilt, I just cannot see what the issue is. Any ban which includes pre-season however would be a slap in the face. Unless the ban is so serious we are talking at least six months or more.

I’m not sure why fans of other clubs are so worked up about this there is no match fixing involved (that has been confirmed)The blokes been having bets earlier in his career when at Peterborough and on loan to many other lower league clubs wonder how many of your players have bets put on by their mates it’s not  a criminal offence but yes it’s against f a rules and he will be punished.Check out the FA disciplinary punishments handed out every month mainly for non league players found guilty of betting average is about 6 match bans although everyone likes to quote what Barton got at a time when he had retired from football.

is there any chance Toney might get his ban before the end of the season? (assuming he does).

seems to be taking a long time to rule on his charges, and losing him would really impact the end of their season prob?

Thought his case was being heard this month but it’s all gone quiet. He’s more likely to get a 2 match ban soon as he’s on 9 bookings. Was hoping he would already have been banned so he would be clear for next season so we could sell him in the summer.Don’t understand why the FA are dragging this out.

  11. Don’t think Bees will be in the mix and expect us to tail off now after what’s been a good season but some very tough games ahead.I expect Toney will be banned in the coming weeks which will mean that’s it for the season and maybe longer although we are far from a one man team as Liverpool found out earlier in the season.

The widespread belief seems to be he might be out for a few months but back in plenty of time for the next tournament.

Think you are right Southgate must be privy to the charges and if it was serious like match fixing he would have been miles away from the England camp.I wouldn’t be surprised if he got an 8 match ban in April he would be sold to the likes of Chelsea for 60 mill +

    which would be nice

Wesley made something of himself after a tough childhood in Brazil, his Dad died when he was 9, and he had two kids to support at age 16. He fought his way out of poverty, training while working in a screw factory, and breaking into European football through the Slovakian Super League.

He's never had anything easy, and worked for his opportunity to make it. He came to Villa and at age 23, his career was effectively ended in any meaningful capacity by a horrendous intentional scissor challenge which destroyed his cruciate. He was out for over a year.

    Ben f***ing Mee.

There is a special level of hell for players who intentionally try and ruin careers, especially of those who came from nothing and escaped poverty.

Just checked it out so understand the hate towards him.Don’t think we played Burnley with Mee in their side many times if any as he was out injured last season when we played them. He’s been outstanding for us this season and only been booked twice.

Kane, Toney and Watkins should be in the England squad for the next international break.

Anyone else and the manager is smoking..........oh wait........

Think you are correct Toney Kane and Watkins will be in that squad and then comes the moaning about Toney being involved.

Good player, but he is seriously one of the biggest tools I have ever seen.

Add the match betting, to all the stuff he said about brentford etc, then add the zulu sign he did to Villa fans, which is effectively promoting hooligans, violence and thugs, the guy is proper thick.

As I say, he is a very good player, but is is also one of the biggest c*ocks I have seen in a long time.

Not keen on having him at Villa then.😉

  16. Brentford will stand to lose out financially as without this pending ban Toney would have been sold this summer for at least 50 mill.Should he get the leaked ban of 6 months I’m sure Brentford will try and get him to sign a new contract as his present one has 2 years to run and his value to us will plummet approaching his final year when he starts playing again. Most fans of other clubs who have been slagging him off will be desperate for their clubs to sign him.Funny old game

I read this thought it was a load of BS. It’s just his lawyers and him trying to put pressure on the FA to reduce what will most likely be 6 months out.

I read the article and compared it to previous bans and came up with @6months myself. The media has done the same, no fantasy stories of leaks as Toney and his legal reps are alleging.

Toney is just trying to make BS up about the media to get the FA to go soft, not like the FA haven’t been soft before….

Of course they are trying to get a reduced ban but the facts are the FA leaked this to the Daily Mail when they had agreed with the player that this would remain confidential until the hearing. One things for sure it won’t be 6 months now due to the leak maybe more or less.
