My gut feeling is 1 or 2 in and the same out. We spent less than last summer and I feel that we have kept a bit of money back in case we were in the same situation as last January where a few injuries meant we were desperate but we had very little to play with due to ffp. I think we will spend £25m-30m. Maybe get one decent loan/loan to buy and one decent signing on a permanent. One thing I think we all agree on is we need at least a forward this window. Any decent players entering the last 6 months of their contract?

I think you may have hit the nail on the head regarding Mcginn mate. I do think cash is a decent fb though but wouldn’t be against him playing further forward or even trying him back at dm, he would certainly add a bit more grit and steel in midfield and would allow us to move luiz further forward to compete with Mcginn. I haven’t really seen much speculation about who we are after in jan but a cb, lb and striker/winger would be what I would hope for. I would love a marquee signing again, even if just on loan

You are correct re injuries mate, but this window is about adding quality to the starting 11. We are not currently in a position to have 2 top quality players for each position, but hopefully that will come over the next few seasons. Personally I would keep Guilbert so we have 2 decent rb and I would keep engles as he can still do a job for us

No an overachievement would be to be in the top 6. We reportedly have around £100m to spend this season again, can you really see the likes of Newcastle or Brighton spending similar? If we get this transfer window right and can get in 4 players that are of the quality of Rashica then a realistic aim would be a minimum of 14th, but even if we finished there we shouldn’t be happy. We have some real quality in the team in grealish, Mcginn, luiz, mings and konsa. Those 5 players would get in most teams outside the top 8 if we add 4 more of that quality then we will be a competitive side. Our aim should be mid table this season. We need to take our chances and cut out the stupid mistakes. P.S can you stop trolling now
