There is no way of criticising MBB without sounding like a snob, but it’s just downright awful.
It would’ve been dated in the 70’s and it’s basically one ‘joke’ - which is a bloke in drag, with an Irish accent, saying unfunny stuff.
I don’t know why I am surprised it won, it sums this country up at the moment tbh.
I hate MBB, very boring and not even remotely funny.
That being said Brendan O'Carroll's speech was quite witty and I loved the way he congratulated Ricky on Afterlife. Said it was one of the best things he had ever watched on tv.
He knew he shouldn't have won

Villa fans that get legitimately riled by Troy Deeney (and other footballers)
He seems like a sound guy, he seems like he has learned from his mistakes and what's more - he's had a great career, he has earned millions. There is nothing you can say or do to get under his skin. He is winning at life, and your anger is probably of great amusement to him.
You're just making yourself look very, very, very small and pathetic.
Good natured bantering and chanting is grand. Getting irate - just sort your life out mate.
How about ex footballers (especially crap ones)
I honestly agree with the point you are making however i have to admit i have an unnatural hatred of Robbie Savage. Cannot get over it and never will, absolutely detest the bloke. Makes no logical sense but I cannot get my brain to think differently

I cannot believe not one fellow VT member has called you up on this in over an hour. Hogan wouldn't score 40 goals a season in a girls under 10's team (assuming they even allowed him into the starting line up)

Because his first approach should not be a highly reactive one in January. He should have been far more pro-active and sussed things out beforehand. Its not like he has other distractions like coaching.
But we may not have been looking to bring in another starting striker, injury to Wes has potentially meant moving things around and changing targets.

Didn't see that, actually makes it worse. I wasn't as clever as I thought and now more point sharing.

We’ve all given him a chance. It’s long past that now though. It was obvious he wasn’t anywhere near good enough after 8-9 games. He’s going to get us relegated.
I feel this is a little harsh, he was bought by the club and Smith insists on starting him. For whatever reason whether it be effort, moral, ability or all 3 he isn't good enough at the moment. If he continues to be picked and doesn't perform because he isn't up to this level it is hardly his fault. I am a massive fan of Smith for the passion that he has for the club and what he achieved last year but if he continues with the same team and tactics week after week the blame only lies at one persons feet and it aint Wesley's

To be fair there has been mud thrown from all sides this campaign and it genuinely depresses me that this is what is happening with the leaders of this country.
Has it ever been this bad before or does it appear worse now we have so much media at our fingertips?
Genuine question

If you vote for a party, you should be willing to explain why. Otherwise, what's the point?
The Tories have been in power for 9 years. Somebody voting for them should easily have reasons to do so.
I would be very surprised if the swearing comment wasn't tongue in cheek, came across as a joke to me. If it was serious you may have a point but I suspect you have missed the humour
You shouldn't have to explain anything, vote for who you want for whatever reasons. I have friends who are Labour and Cons, I love and respect them all equally.
Personally i think voting should be a private affair anyway but with the power of the internet now that of course will never happen

Clearly not. 17k a year and voting Conversative. Says it all.
Oof, one Twitter account obviously backs up your rambles.
I think this is the point, comments like "says it all" do not help. MCU has every right to vote for who they want to (don't want to assume their gender) just the same as you do. People get very defensive over politics and i honestly do not understand it. People will vote for who they want, we will have winners and losers. We will wake up tomorrow and carry on with our lives.
Can we not all agree to get along and hold hands?

Also i am impartial as decided not to vote, cant get on board with a lot of policies and I dont think any of them have handled themselves with any form of dignity. Voted Tory last election so one less vote for them I suppose

Does he think the policy only applies to McDonalds workers? **** me.
It would push him upwards too. He wouldn't be left on 10 quid an hour whilst a burger flipper gets 15.
Senseless. Duped.
I think you very well know he doesn't think this only applies at McDonalds.
The point Stefan is making is that by pushing minimum wage up so much it will make his brother closer to the poorer minimum wage workers. Although he may get a rise | would doubt it would be around the same % increase, this then pushes his economical standing down and closer to the poorest rather than the rich. When companies increase prices on products to compensate for the wage rise he will in fact be worse off.
I also don't think that Stefan agrees with his brother however he is not wrong that this is the way a lot of people think, a few of my friends earning around the same bracket are also voting Tory for the same reasons as above. I don't think they have been duped it is just the way some peoples minds work, i get the logic behind it but its not the way of progression

Far away in the tropical waters of the Caribbean, two prawns were
swimming round in the sea - one called Justin and the other called
Christian.
The prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks
that patrolled the area. Finally one day Justin said to Christian,
"I'm bored and frustrated at being a prawn, I wish I was a shark,
then I wouldn't have any worries about being eaten..."
As Justin had his mind firmly on becoming a predator, a mysterious
cod appears and says, "Your wish is granted", and lo and behold,
Justin turned into a shark. Horrified, Christian immediately swam
away, afraid of being eaten by his old mate.
Time went on (as it invariably does...) and Justin found himself
becoming bored and lonely as a shark. All his old mates simply swam
away whenever he came close to them. Justin didn't realize that his
new menacing appearance was the cause of his sad plight. While out
swimming alone one day he sees the mysterious cod again and can't
believe his luck. Justin figured that the fish could change him back
into a prawn.
He begs the cod to change him back so, lo and behold, he is turned
back into a prawn. With tears of joy in his tiny little eyes, Justin
swam back to his friends and bought them all a cocktail. Looking
around the gathering at the reef, he searched for his old pal.
"Where's Christian?" he asked.
"He's at home, distraught that his best friend changed sides to the
enemy and became a shark", came the reply. Eager to put things right
again and end the mutual pain and torture, he set off to Christian's
house. As he opened the coral gate the memories came flooding back.
He banged on the door and shouted, "It's me, Justin, your old friend,
come out and see me again. Christian replied "No way man, you'll eat
me. You're a shark, the enemy and I'll not be tricked."
Justin cried back "No, I'm not. That was the old me. I've changed"...
..."I've found Cod, I'm a prawn again Christian"

Hi @BOF
How do you get this thread to the top of the list so more people ask you questions?

The parking attendant decides that today, at a train station, at the beginning of the commuter day, when there's just about to be a train pulling in, when I'm obviously a commuter, that now, is the time to let me know about the possibility of my cat being broken into. He's a nice man but, I need to get on a train, so I nod and say yes and yes in that typical British way of trying to politely get someone to shut up because I'm obviously in a rush.
Why would someone break into your cat? How did he know that you even had a cat? Was it a euphemism? Are you now worried for your cat or nether regions? How would you even break into a cat (that's probably for the ask BOF anything thread in fairness)?
I have so many unanswered questions

Hello all
I'm a 33 year old male and in love with my sister. I also have an extra 2 toes and knuckles that drag on the floor. Missing a few teeth with the rest becoming decayed and a funny shade of yellow
Also support The Blues

Dont get politics at all however, have Labour costed up all of this stuff and do they have a sensible plan without plunging the Nation into further debt? There seems to be a lot of giving stuff away and more money to everyone with not much downside? Not having a pop at JC i am just genuinely interested in a simple breakdown that a layman could understand

I genuinely have no idea who I am going to vote for and if I even vote at all. Looking at all of them they all have ups and downs in what they are saying, most will not stick to what they say they are going to do anyway. Looking at them as people there is not one that i gravitate to and think "I think you would do a great job running the UK". Think I may not bother voting this time round

We haven't really heard about fish for sometime because the argument has been debunked ad nauseum
The fishing quotas are there to preserve the stocks, for environmental reasons and so we can enjoy fish long into the future but even the EU hasn't managed to achieve its aim with this as only this week North Sea Cod lost its blue sustainability tick as the stocks are once again dwindling and below the level where the stocks are sustainable. In short, North Sea Cod is being over fished. If it wasn't for the EU the cod left in the hands of the fishing industry would have gone a long time ago. Big fishing business really wouldn't give a shit and it's big fishing business that gets the lion's share of the UK quota and that is down to UK government not the EU. If we leave the EU, you might as well say au revoir to Cod, it'll be gone
C'mon @bickster this isn't the time or the Plaice

I think someone else has said but sometimes it is just denial and he didn't realise. I don't get that but then I am not in that situation.
Personally I couldn't care less whether the guy is straight, gay, bi or a tree. I think as long as his wife and children are ok and he is happy then it shouldn't matter one iota
