It is fun to see Leicester fans going mental over signing Inler. He is average at best. It is just because it is a well-known name, that they think they've got a good player. Look at his price (3m), would Napoli let him go for that if they thought he was important for them. He wasn't even a regular for them last season. People are talking about him like he is a top player, and i don't see why at all. He was terrible at the World Cup last year as well. But if you can't get the top players like Veretout and Aranguiz i guess you have to take someone else.

In the Delph situation the release clause was against us, but i actually think it has helped us with Benteke. The fact that it is there gives us a reason not to negotiate, and I think it is realistic that we would have got 5-7.5m less haven't it been there. Also I am very happy for Benteke. It's a deserved move, and by giving us such a big amount of money, he can leave still being appreciated by the fans. Hope he gets a good welcome when he comes back to Villa Park.

When the Boilesen rumor came up, I said, that we would be better of going in for Ludwig. Since he came to Copenhagen he has been fantastic, and he played a good Under 21 championship as well, which makes it clear that he can deal with the pressure on big stages as well. As a type he is very good offensively with good crossing and he takes good free kicks as well. Defensively he is a good player as well. He has good pace. However, he is still very young, and of course it is not sure that a 21-year old player from the Danish league can go in and perform on PL-level. But I believe in him. The Expressen paper mentions 3,2m as Copenhagen's asking price, and if that is true it would be a bargain. However, I do not believe that. I think he will cost us around 4,5-5m. He is in every way a better player than Boilesen, and I would be very happy with this signing, and confident he can do well as first choice on left back next season.

As a Dane, who watches a lot of Ajax games as well, I must say I am very surprised of this rumour. He was highly rated, but the injuries really have made him a bad player. He is terrible in defending and only okay attacking. The worst player on both the national team and in the Ajax starting-lineup. As someone else mentioned Ludwig Augustinsson is way more interesting if you look on the Danish market. He will become a top quality left back. However, Boilesen allegedly has been chased by Sevilla and Atletico Madrid this summer, so there are others that rate him, and if the injuries stop, then he might end up being a decent left back, but for me Robertson or Mings sounds much better. By the way, the source is reliable so there is a big chance we are in for him.

Stupid by the club to make that statement. They should have silenced it and talked with him internally. Now this whole thing will blow up.

I think we need two fullbacks. Robertson is the best option for me of the guys who are mentioned, but Mings sounds interesting too. On the right back I would very much like Thomas Meunier from Brugge, but he is probably unrealistic. Trippier could also be a target. If Vlaar goes we need a right-footed centreback. Okore is fine as a starter for me, but with the injury problems that our central defenders have, I think we need to bring in someone with quality. Simon Kjær has been rumored to english football lately, and he has really been good in Lille the last couple of seasons, but he is maybe also out of our reach. We need a central midfielder as well with Cleverley going. I don't know who that could be but i definitely like a guy like Stefan Johansen from Celtic. Bayerns seems to be willing to sell Højbjerg for something like 13m this summer as well, and that would be fantastic, but it looks like he has decided to stay anyway. We need a winger as well. People have previously mentioned Sisto, and I think he could be amazing for us, but he seems to be going to Porto. As a striker I think a swap deal where we get Bamford+money for Benteke would be ideal. If this happens we will have a very young and exciting squad. However, I know this isn't Football Manager, so it seems rather unrealistic. I just thought I would like to bring ins some new names who are on the market.

Okore was class in the final. I don't understand the criticism he gets. He had a poor touch after 20 seconds or so, but apart from that he didn't make any fouls, and he stopped Arsenal a lot of times and pressured Walcott as well. In Denmark people are often critical about the danish players performances, but after the match most medias said that he was Villa's best player, and i actually agree on that. (Maybe Richardson was better). People have started to blaim Jores for everything bad that is going on, and i think that is stupid, because he has put in some decent performances lately, but i guess that is the Villa way of seeing things. Everything is either very good or very bad. For instance Okore was called MOTM in here a lot of times when he got into the team in November or so, whether or not he played a good game. BTW he is not participating in the Under 21-championship this summer, as he has undergone a minor surgery that keeps him out for about a month.

Hello everyone. I am a 20 year Danish villan, who has a big passion for Villa. My passion for Villa started with Martin Laursen, which I am greatful for, as he is the reason I can say I am a fan of this great club. I have been reading posts on this site for a long time, and i decided that it was time to join in. I hope I can contribute with my opinions and at the same time what the danish media is telling about our two danish players at Villa, as many of those articles never find their way to England. My favourite player is Ciaran Clark, as i like those no-nonsense defenders, but of course as a Dane i must say that I am happy when Okore does well. Looking forward to debating with all of you!
