  1. I enjoyed the game yesterday so did my 10 year old daughter which is great. The 5 year old less so but she did have moments of Interest.

First half you could see we were the better side but some sloppy passing and mistakes although conditions weren't great. There was always a risk of Reading getting another though. The second before half time was massive.

Second half we controlled it much better and the better quality of players showed even more and that was before the sending off. I felt like Reading just wanted to not conceded again. There was even a bit where one if their coaches seemed to try and delay our momentum and waste a bit if time.

Daly was a step up from anyone else on the pitch and you could see she was getting frustrated with some play a little. Dali also showed her International class. There's a few others though that look decent and will improve with the influence of Daly & Dali

This is what I thought, didn't even dream I woukd receive a summons. I did want to go to court with it, but just prolongs the process and costs more if you lose, which will probably be likely.

As someone who used to live in a Village in Chippenham, where they would often have someone doing it. I would have confidently said you couldn't actually get penalised from one of the community speed checks, it's just a telling off letter. Looks like since I moved a couple of years ago Wiltshire police now have Civilian speed enforcement officers that can go out with the community watch people, who still can't issue fines but these civilian officers with different equipment can.

Can? Ugh. Bottles only, please.  I never drink canned beer. Or 'draft' lager.

I don't mind cans at all and if it's poured in a glass I don't think there is much difference. A bottle is much better to drink out of than a can though if it can't be poured.

I'm the 3.5 years I've been here and travelled home it has got noticeably better

Off the top of my head in sainsburys kiddy you can get fruh kolsch which is ok, at least one weissbier (but I think it's franziskaner which isn't a good one imo) and the paulaner oktobetfest edition which is very good

On the subject of Oktoberfest beers, I actually enjoy Lidl's festival beer. Pretty good value at £1.25 a can. Not had their wheat beer one though.

  5. It's my birthday tomorrow so taking the wife and 2 girls for some Prawn sandwiches (carvery) and padded seats.

They don't have too much interest in football (the eldest a little bit) so hoping this might trigger something 😃

    The Christmas beers are open

Bitburger winterbock, normal Bitburger is a pils, this is a 7% helles bockbier and its great, highly recommended

Also got a warsteiner winter edition which looks like a darker beer closer to what they call a Keller bier which I'm interested in because I don't understand warsteiners popularity, its a big international beer but its gassy and one of germanys worst beers (becks too) then a monschof weinachtbier (Christmas beer) monschof do a very underrated helles

Supermarkets here need to do better with German beers. There's a lot better than what you can normally get.

  7. I really don't mind us time wasting. I think we can be a bit better/cuter at it than we were today.

If its needed, it's needed. I'd Iike to think as the season goes on, we'll need to do it less and less.

I’m not entitled to vote and would have chosen option 1. It appears those who are able to vote prefer round and those who can’t prefer the shield.

It will be interesting to see how it works out. I remember the Randy Lerner market research, there was a round one on that which seemed the far more popular on social media. Supposedly the crest was chosen using the feedback. Did they just say we want this one sod the feedback or was the round less popular than it appeared.

  9. I'm actually unsure. I was always in the round badge camp but have become more and more unsure with regards to other clubs with round badges.

The gas lamp shield doesn't feel right though. I'm not sure about the blue lion on a claret shirt at least. I just feel it should be gold or claret.

It will take a little getting used to but the Rampant Lion the other way round doesn't bother me too much.

he's also the most wildly inconsistent players we've had in the last 10 years! i like the guy and think he was worth the punt and still worth a place in our squad but at the same time can see why his CV looks like it does, we couldn't get it out of him, neither could chelsea, ajax or lyon

i also think that if we are going to go back to villarreal with a big bag of cash then their wingers should be near the top of the shopping list

Even good wingers can be inconsistent in their effectiveness game to game.  Traore takes that to extreme levels.

I see big, baggy jeans are back in fashion again amongst the yoofs and I think they all look like big, silly clowns.

I say, as I re-adjust my nuts in my stretchy-skinny jeans at 35 years old.

Finally time to dig out my Eclipse jeans!

  12. I didn't drink coffee until I was at least 30 and hated the smell of it. Not really at connoisseur levels but it is now my go to hot drink. Not a massive hot beverage drinker but average not nuch more than 1 a day and a tea 1 a week or less. I haven't reached the stage of black coffee yet though, its either a latte/cappuccino/flat white when out or more than just a drop of milk at home.

I've got an aeropress at home which I mostly use or whatever instant we have in which tends to be Nescafe Azera or the Lavazza one above, only ever bought on offer (one or the other usually is) the full price is extortionate.

Tend to try different ground coffees for the aeropress. Currently I think I have Taylors espresso as its finer than most the grounds in supermarkets. I do like a Robusta one from Throat punch coffee. That proper gives you a caffeine kick.

I would like a decent espresso coffee machine. I don't drink enough to justify spending that much though.

I find the balancing act of whether to let a kid ride out pain or to get a hospital involved so difficult (especially with a baby that can't really communicate). A couple of months ago our baby was screaming in pain like he had never done before and it went on for what felt like hours (but probably wasn't that long). He seemed in genuine agony and we had no idea why. I had my phone in my hand getting ready to call 111 or whatever whilst my OH was trying to settle him and calm him down. For quite some time we were debating whether to phone for help or not as we had no idea if it was part of teething or something much much worse.

Then he did a massive poo and was happy as Larry after that.

Would have felt very silly rushing him to A&E for that but was seriously considering it.

Yeah it's really hard. She's not in excruciating pain just uncomfortable. We were thinking Urine infection but the GP tested that and there weren't any signs although they've sent it of to be tested too.

A different situation but her half sister complained of stomach aches over time which we we held off getting checked out as we suspected anxiety, attention or avoiding something. Eventually we decided to get it checked out and it turned out she was Coeliac.

  14. Currently playing the waiting game with our 5 year old. She woke in the night with stomach pain and has had it since. She went to the doctors today and were a bit concerned that it might be appendicitis. They contacted the hospital but they don't want to see her unless she has the pain longer or it gets worse.

My gut is it won't turn out to be the case but its not nice just waiting.

It's Goat and on first listen, it sounds just like Goat

Will have to have a listen. I've actually been listening to them again recently. I loved World Music but I sort of forgot about them and missed a lot of their subsequent stuff.

  16. I probably post a similar post each manager search but I never think hard about our manager recruitment. Sure there's some i'd like, some I definitely wouldn't, but there is so much luck in a managerial appointment. Successful ones fail and some surprise a few. It just seems the stars align at certain times for clubs and managers.

That said on paper Emery is probably the best manager we could have got and lots of things regarding his appointment, the club and Emery himself just seem to fit. So i'm very much looking forward to the rest of the season and beyond.

Also it seems very positive on a whole from the majority of fans, which hasn't happened on this scale for a while.

Because of the fake plastic Brummies who support Man Utd rather than a local team always try to come into the home end of Villa vs Man Utd. Then they cheer when Man Utd score and then fights break out because they shouldn't be there.

I realise the issue, I've been pretty close to where it has kicked off when a Man Utd fan has been outed. Just annoyed how it affected me and my daughter going and had a bit of a rant. Just one of those things that don't work out.

I did have a look last night out of curiosity to see how many were left, as I'd probably have another reference to use tonight. It's a bit limited in a lot of areas for 2 together but might look to take her still.
