  1. We went with my mates wishes in the end and are going to Amsterdam. Looking at the fixtures I think we are aiming to go to Volendam v Heracles Almelo on the Saturday. Its also Ajax v Feyenoord on the Sunday but I imagine tickets for that aren't to easy to get hold of.

If a wealthy individual wants to pay an 18yo for dirty pics and the 18yo is alright with it its nobody's business but theirs.

Absolutely correct, however I can't fathom why anyone remotely famous would do it, without anonymity at least. The thrill of being caught? There seems so much to lose in terms of reputation, a risk of blackmail and damaging relationships even if you takeaway any moral/legal issues.

One of the most infuriating things about coffee is the various meanings of "strength". I can all but guarantee that the "strength" they're referring to is going to be an indicator of roast level and bitterness rather than anything to do with the strength in terms of caffeine content

On caffeine strength, the fact that arabica is some super standard selling point annoys me as I do like a kick with my coffee. I find most supermarkets its pretty much all 100% arabica. I really like some robusta coffees that I've bought online. I'd love to be able to get a decent blend in a supermarket, if not the robusta.

  4. I'm guessing they may have decided to not sell the non renewals due to the relocation issue next year? I was pretty low and seen others lower that haven't been offered a chance to buy.

With it only being 900 it probably makes sense as they should sell easy enough individually and eases the headache come next season.

Yes saw that and that the idiot was outed by other Twitter users as someone who used to be the ticket manager at a Football club until he was caught having stolen £90k. Then the idiot actually posted his address in a come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough kind of way and doesn't seem to believe he'll get a letter from the lawyers.

Twitter is full of numbskulls like that. Absolute cesspool

Weirdly that Andy Plumbs posts have popped up a couple of times on my feed over the last week with people commenting on some of his hateful tweets.

  6. I wear a baseball cap quite a lot. I'm often outdoors, being bald and formerly ginger I do have to protect my head. Likewise I have to make sure I take it off now and again to avoid looking like Stewart Cink

I wear it throughout the year, whether that's to keep the sun off or keep my head warm unless it's really cold then it will be a beanie type hat.

I have tried other hats, I either don't feel they suit me or they're not comfortable.

That’s mental, they turned away 5 meals because a 6 seat table wouldn’t be fully occupied? That’s crazy. I’d write them a complaint (not really, I’m too lazy).

Yeah exactly that. They lost out on what probably best part of £100? There were still empty tables when they came out of the place they went to instead. No idea whether it was their policy or an inexperienced member of staff that didn't have a clue. I think I probably would have written a complaint had I experienced it.

It's not a place I'm ever keen to go in anyway but our daughter is coeliac so it can sometimes be a bit tricky to find a decent place for her if we haven't sussed out the areas pubs/restaurants and they do gluten free pizza and pasta so she has a bit of choice.

  8. I wasn't sure where to put it but I'll go for here as it has pissed me off, and I wasn't even there!

My Mrs met her parents with the kids today while i was at work. They were going to get something to eat at Pizza Express. They couldn't have a table, not because they were full, it was because there was 5 of them. If they were a 4 or a 6 they could be seated. I know they would ideally rather 6 at a table than 5 but that seems one crazy policy.

Not sure how, it'll just be a case of more of the same

Not that aware of what Wagner do and control in Africa apart from bits I've read here, but I can imagine any efforts to affect operations in Africa could destabilise some countries as there will be factions that will see an opportunity for power and money. Its almost better short term at least that it is business as usual, whoever is running the show.

It just beggars belief....the guy hasn't officially signed yet, and THEY are still trying to shoe horn him in somewhere else.

Its like something else, that springs to mind, where the decision, still can't be accepted to some, journalists.

They need to get REAL, He's( as good as) a VILLA player.

Yeah that's pretty crazy. Yes if he performs in the Premier league, any doubts about his limitations will have been disregarded. Real Madrid aren't waiting for that though. If they wanted him the would have got him. If they want him in a years time, we're talking very big money. Even if he exceeds expectations I very much doubt he'd leave in 12 months.

  11. I also absolutely hate sparkling water, whether that's flavoured or even with squash or something like that. I don't mind the San Pellegrino fruit drinks, but they taste more like regular fizzy soft drinks rather than flavoured sparkling water. I've never looked at the sugar content of those but I imagine that's got something to do with it.

Cap guns.  1) We used to set the caps off by scraping our nails over them causing a lot of burns and 2) try to load as many caps into the gun as possible and still explode them.  You could usually fold up 3 or in those rare magic moments 4 may go off and nearly blow the cap gun apart.

Amazingly I didn't get told off for it but I threw a cap bomb, one school morning. Unravelled a roll of caps, fold the narrow strip in half, then wrap it around a 2p.

I hadn't actually done it before so didn't know what to expect. A big bang, flash and a load of smoke just as a teacher was driving in to park

  13. My Mrs searched for Kids trainers on the Shein website and got a bit of a surprise as she scrolled down the various 'kids trainers' 😂

    https://www.shein.co.uk/

Probably need to search for yourself, not sure if I can show the results on here 😁

    * They seem to have fixed the search. It had various sex toys, vaginas etc

  14. Went to the beer shop in Jinney Ring today as wanted to get a bottle of Bathams for my Dad for father's day. Bought him a bottle of Purity Longhorn too.

Got myself a couple also. The first craft beers other than the limited selection my Morrisons has that I've bought in a while.

    First was MANBEARPIGDINOSAUR3_1.jpg?v=1684246203

Which stood out as I've lived in Bath and Portsmouth.

2nd which ive just opened was fierce-brewing-fancy-juice-6-amundsen-co

while on the subject of coffee, the fact a flat white costs me more money than a latte, its the same drink but with LESS milk

Coffee shops are a bit of a minefield on what you get. Potentially the latte might be 1 shot but the flat white 2. Similarly some places do 2 shots on everything unless requested so a large your just paying extra for little milk/water for a weaker coffee.

A few Man City youngsters there on loan next year I would imagine

That's very possible. However I've just been on a Twitter thread with a lot of them thinking though could get Phillips on loan 😂

I thought some of their talk regarding Tielemans was a bit deluded but some of them and probably the club itself let the league and Cup win go to their heads and think they are so much bigger and better than they are. It's half the reason they've gone down.

  17. Interesting to see what is ahead for Brentford (and Brighton) they now have the pressure of instant progression and competing with the big boys. Fascinating to know if their systems work with these pressures when recruiting players and spending more.

Many teams have tried and failed after getting up towards the top of the table. Leicester the most recent rise and fall. Hard to crack and stay, easy to mess up.

We have often had that pressure due to the size of the club, and to be fair we've not necessarily been great at it.

Former Man City Head Honcho Garry Cook appointed as their CEO, has quite a big reputaiton because of Man City connection and their fans celebrating because of it, but has had a few blunders since then, was involved in Chris Kirchner's failed takeover of Derby and I think was involved with Wigan when they were having ownership issues.

Only just seen this. Obviously he has that Man City connection, although that didn't end well. However he's one of those names you always see regarding takeovers and personally I wouldn't trust him one bit, not that it's any worry for me. I seem to remember rumours of him being on Xia's new board here. Not sure if there was any truth in it but it was definitely reported, although didn't happen.

A bit like anything Keith Harris is involved in, they are just after the money.

This is a good point. I was thinking of rocking up at 6.30 for a 7pm start. Didn't think about queues.

This was about half 5 I think. They had just queued in tesco for a good while for the toilet. I should have just dropped and ran then, but Mrs doesn't like big crowds and not knowing where she's going so thought I'd walk them to the gate.

  21. I took the wife and eldest to Villa Park for Pink. Queues to get in were mental. They are in Trinity, North end side. I thought I'd walk them through the main car park. That was no access, then steps up past Holte were no access, finally got all the way round and realised the queue went all the way back to the Holte hotel 😂 I left them to it at that point.

It probably said in the information but of course I just said I know where you need to go😁

Hopefully picking them up is a bit smoother.

  22. Despite his performance at Villa, he still wouldn't have got one more crack at management in this country. Going by how out of his depth he was here it would be his last though. So if he is to take one more job, he may as well get a (presumably) very well paid one.

A little bit of success over there and he may even get another crack somewhere over here, before being found out again. He may well have learnt some lessons but I get a feeling he won't put that effort in to correct his wrongs.
