  1. they were like that before the FFP stuff came in too.
  2. We should sign him, but we aren't, clearly. Seem, at least lie to us properly xD
  3. Man City already do and I literally don't care, all that ends up happening if you are a club with smart rich owners under the scenario I said is...... You also get to join the mega rich clubs as your revenue naturally out paces the clubs you left behind. Oh and billions of pounds more gets pumped into the football pyramid too.
  4. But they can, once everyone is in line with the new rules and it reaches its eventual limit, which is 70% I think then whomever has the bigger revenue goes back to picking off whatever they like. FFP isn’t about saving clubs from going bust it’s about keeping those who generate the most revenue at the top. if it were about saving clubs we would do real time accounting which that have in the lower leagues and they would allow owners to put together a bond for the excess in spending they want to do therefore protecting the club in question. so for example we want to sign someone for 50m on a 5 year deal for 10m per year and it’s all outside of ffp the owners literally would have to stump up 100m pounds which is drawn down for the fee and wages.
  5. Yea it’s because of the FFP rules getting harsher gradually over the next few years
  6. I think it is a fair opinion, it would be odd to have 3 left footed centre backs out of 4. I also think it would be an odd signing anyway, I read earlier he is on 8 million euros per year, it wouldn't do our squad cost any good getting him on a free and it wouldn't be easy selling a 31 year old centre back for a decent price who has been out for a season next summer either. I don't see it at all
  7. so you think it is Mings for the chop then?
  8. If we sign Hermoso then IMO it’s the end for mings or Carlos. the lad will come in with big wages and we can’t support/keep happy 5 centre backs
  9. can you lot stop talking about pep and man city
  10. It sets you up for a more financially secure future which in the terms of football means growth
  11. Probably not but they could if they carry on with the same transfer success for a few years be a top 6 team every year. i doubt the owners are banking these profits, I assume they are paying off their ground or whatever.
  12. Nope and his stats won’t be reliable in that league, requires proper old fashioned scouting
  13. I will be frustrated by the wasted chance, I don’t think we are at the maximum, the loan market exists too.
  14. That is nice and everything but right back and DM are needed. without it there will be a downturn in form in the second half of the season, I’m sure of it
  15. I think he is the most replaceable out of any so called big sales
  16. He would probably have to find some form to get a big price
  17. Literally the one player who we couldn’t replace
  18. I don't, I would rather not get points deducted and fined ty. Having said that I would spend the absolute maximum this window
  19. In my opinion that is just hyperbole he isn’t the best midfielder in world football, he isn’t easily replaced but we have a manager and director of football who will work in tandem to improve the squad to increase the output of the team as a whole. tbh I think fans like you don’t get the benefits of selling say 3 players for that sort of price over a 5 year period if the owners want to invest it would completely transform us into champions league challengers every year
  20. Me neither but that’s the only retraction from that scenario
  21. I wouldn’t. If we sold him for 120m it’s almost pure profit that allows you to buy a few hundred million pounds worth of players. the occasional massive sale would do wonders for our buying power. if the owners want to put that kind of money in. If.
