  1. And yet another way to laugh at your posts! You used to contradict yourself every other week to suit your argument. You're now contradicting yourself in the same posts! You're cracking under this intense pressure that you have put yourself under over the last year and a half... to defend the indefensible.
  2. Bannan is a match winner. Only they lost. Bannan doesn't play in the league because Pulis doesn't want any match winners to win matches. Only they win in the league. You can find so many angles to laugh at your posts. I love you, and this thread that you have made.
  3. Plus, goal mouth scrambles and a goal being scored about half an hour after Bannan touched it isn't an assist. You're full of comedy gold.
  4. Bannan is proving me wrong? Mate, he is in the Palace reserve team. A team that loses to Championship teams. He is doing EXACTLY as I said he would... slowly fall into Championship obscurity. On the other hand, he is nowhere near joining Man Utd or Arsenal... which is exactly what you said would happen.
  5. Best thread EVER! I can't stop laughing that we are now talking about how Bannan is moving his hands like a orchesters composer to get credit for goals. Simply brilliant. Con, you are the best, nicest, smiliest troll in the whole wide world.
  6. I think everyone is frustrated, a little angry and annoyed about the last couple of months. The stanchest Lambert supporter could not defend the performances and results that we have seen, however there have been glimpses in the past that this team is very capable. The biggest glimpse came yesterday and now it's up to Lambert to make this more consistent and less patchy. With some additions, coaching and experience there is no reason to think that next season we shouldn't be pushing for 6th - 8th position which would be a very big step forward - and due. If we go against the team, or change the manager, then next season there is much less chance of us achieving progress of any sort and will give the club a bad name (constantly changing managers - which half decent player would want to join a club like that?). There is no rush to judge Lambert or the team in my opinion. This season is about stability around the club. Next season is about pushing on. Up the Villa, mate.
  7. I think he meant if we performed in 7 out of 10 matches in that way then...
  8. Well if we suddenly play like we did against Sheffield united again after such a good performance in our previous game questions need to be asked This 100%. He is running out of chances for me, needs to stay consistant. fed up of seeing quality and then failing to compete against teams lower in the league! We should all be expecting a big performance against the Boggies at home or not!!! We have a young team who are always going to struggle for consistency so by judging the team from one game to the next is not only just plain wrong and very short sighted it is likely to end up with you just being frustrated and throwing tantrums whilst sitting on the floor in the middle of your bedroom. Sit back, accept it is a young team and understand that the more the team evolves the more frequent the good performances will come. If next season we have not made progress in terms of performances and additions into the team then you can ask questions. To do that now when everyone knows that Lambert isn't going to be sacked come whatever is totally and utterly pointless and means we have one less Villa supporter which is what we need right now.
  9. Any player would have done the same and we'd be delighted if it was for us.
  10. Apart from giving the most dangerous player in the world all the time and space that he wants in one of the most dangerous places on the pitch.
  11. Can't believe Lambert let in that last goal. He should be sacked.
  12. Palace win. Con logic dictates if Bannan never plays for Palace again they will never lose again.
  13. The only thing boring is pointless posts like yours. In the mean time this ex-Villa players thread will be used to discuss an ex-Villa player.
  14. It's not a mistake as much as he has no other stat or argument that he is able to cling onto. If Bannan was any good it would make Con's life a little easier on this thread. Unfortunately for Con, and Villa, he isn't.
  15. I don't go by whoscored ratings, though they do back up my opinion of him. He has been poor in every match I have seen him play in (and I've seen Palace play a number of times this season - LIVE @ Selhurst). I've also proved in previous posts that being booked does not have a negative impact on the whoscored rating. Would you be able to prove how you know the rating system is "experimental"? Or have you just made this up (again) to suit your argument? (like the yellow card thing). If football was about selecting the most popular players then football managers wouldn't earn so much as it would be a simple job. Following the crowd and having a sheep mentality might make you feel strong about an argument but the fact is Bannan isn't good enough for a Premier League team. Finally, you say look at stats to judge a player? Ok... creative midfield player. 77 games. 5 assists. 2 goals (1 from a penalty). Incredibly poor, especially when you consider he had one of Europes finest on form strikers to supply for a chunk of that.
  16. Bannan has not played well. If you watch the Palace matches in their entirety there is more chance you would understand why he has been dropped. Pulis gave Bannan his chance and unfortunately he has come up short once again, just like he did at Villa. To put it simply, the positive aspects of his game do not come anywhere near out weighing his negative aspects. Palace are in a relegation fight and they need strong reliable players. Bannan is not this. The fact that you are once again resorting to the same argument as you did last season should tell you that you are wrong. Very wrong.
  17. Still dropped from the Palace starting eleven. On the bench again today. They are in fact playing a right back in center midfield ahead of Bannan.
  18. I created this a few weeks ago... I support Lambert fully but possession needs to improve dramatically next season - TSR or no TSR.
  19. I just said the 6-4 was my favorite game and I was going to mention that Ajax game as well... all before reading your post. Very special evenings. The Ajax game even more so because I got to meet all the players and Lerner after the match and get all their signatures. Good times. Feels like a life time ago now.
  20. League Cup Semi Final Second Leg - 2010(?) ... Villa 6 Blackburn 4. Amazing game. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing result.
  21. So Palace lose against the strong teams and compete against the weaker teams. Let the London Herald know, it's a bit of a shocker and they could get an exclusive on it. Whoscored backup my opinion of him. He was hopeless and Jedinak was awesome.
