So we're nearing the end of Winter and this has barely been in the news. Is this the end of it now? Is it just a type of flu now?
I'm wondering if they'll even bother with future vaccinations. Or is it just that the press have lost interest?
The whole thing seems like a weird old dream now.
Whispers quietly - it always was.

Be interesting to see if they go full strength against City in the cup tomorrow night too, can see Edwards wanting to rest some of the side ready for the weekend but unsure if he can given the opposition.
-
But worried about starting Chambers and Lenglet against their physical attack but fingers crossed we can score more than them as I can’t see it being a 0-0 draw.
-
Has turned out to be a very useful and valuable loan in, it’s taken an unfortunate set of circumstances to see him here at all let alone in the first team regularly but we’d be in real trouble without him right now.
-
Feel like that Tonali ban has massively disrupted them, it was their marquee signing and with all their other injury issues has only been compounded.

Honestly his video before we signed him is still the best I have seen. Couldn't believe what I was watching. I thought we had a generational talent on our hands.
And I remember his debut, came on against Palace and just completely destroyed their fullback (Souare was it?), thinking okay yeah he's going to be ridiculous.
Yeah he forced an own goal I think in a 2-1 defeat shortly after coming on as sub.
Definitely was not a sign of things to come, well, other than the result at that time.

Where the hell did they get 5 minutes of injury time from?
To my knowledge there were no lengthy stoppages for treatment, no lengthy VaR checks, no substitutions, okay 3 goals and a bit for minor delays, but not five minutes surely?! Cost us too.

They aren't even doing that. All they've done is change their guidance to schools. It's a complete non-event and it's just jumping on the bandwagon created by Brianna Ghey's mother's insane idea to prevent children having access to the internet.
Is it an insane idea? There needs to be regulation and I’ve previously considered whether ‘child only’ mobile phones could be created with highly restrictive security settings (ie blocking social media and any potential adult content), guess you’d also need to create a child version of the internet too so appreciate its not simple but something needs to be done.

3rd ep of Halo reverted back to s1 style drama and filler side plots. Get that they need to have build up and flesh out the story, but IMO it's not well enough made. Sure it will pick up again thou.
Episode 4 should be a cracker (I hope)

Halo season 2 has started on Paramount+.
Must admit i fell asleep at pretty much the same point trying to get through episode 1, it’s good, but it’s not great, and it should be great given the source material.

Frustrating game to be losing, we’re finding plenty of space around their box but not doing enough with it.

So they're allegedly very concerned about the low amount of time the ball is in play/timewasting (hence the injury time rules this season), and they're concerned that referees aren't making the best out of the tools they have (VAR).
Their solution to these two problems is to just give referees yet *another* new and dubious tool: one that will very obviously encourage teams on the end of a 'blue card' to slow down games to a halt.
Can't understate the genius of those in charge.
Exactly, another dumb decision from people who seem to have no understanding of football. How will they even govern it effectively, will it be based on 10 minutes of actual in play time, if not how will it be remotely fair?
I’m not saying it’s all geared up to a conspiracy but they keep giving themselves tools to influence games ‘artificially’ and I just don’t see how it’s remotely a good thing.

Eerily similar to the Newcastle game and worryingly so, hoping this isn’t becoming endemic.
Tactically, I don’t really get what we’re aiming to do off the ball in terms of winning it back, it’s a half press at best and easy to play through and around.
Individually it was appalling really, just a litany of bad decisions and errors all over the park, impossible to pick a man of the match cos they were all poor but Tielemans got progressively worse and it’s a mystery he stayed on as long as he did, Kamara had a shocking first half, Moreno was poor, as was Carlos, Cash and McGinn.
Its obviously hurting us missing all three of our ‘first choice’ centre backs, I’m not feeling too enthusiastic about Sunday tho now.
Special mention for being truly baffled with just 4 minutes of injury time, the ball was hardly in play for the last 15 minutes of the 90.

As depressing as it is, it’s not even that bad a performance, it’s just a catalogue of shocking decisions all over the pitch, encapsulated by Kamara’s awful performance losing the ball umpteen times one of which resulted in the first goal.
So many simple passes undercooked or over hit, not shooting when we should and not doing the basics well enough in defence.
Sort it out Villa!

Would have been a dream debut and capped off an excellent days work all round if he’d buried that chance on Saturday.
Looked okay when he came on, has to be said it was against a dispirited and poor team but still, some good early indications that he might go on to become an asset.

Bailey deserves a new contract and has become a major asset for us this season, so it should be a no brainer from our side you’d think.
Just got to hope he’s not demanding too much and/or considering not signing an extension here.
-
He walked off didn’t he, guessing no major damage if so
-
That’s better, hopefully that’s the end of the dodgy run, tough week coming up though
-
Big opportunity to close the loop on the iffy / pour run, it started with Sheff United and can end with them, here’s hoping!
-
I haven’t seen it so it may be entirely justified on this occasion but the red cards are ruining the sport at the moment, way too many nowadays.

I mean, that thing at spurs was mental wasnt it?
how on earth was he not cancelled out of orbit, let alone go on to have a gainful post playing career!
Because social media didn’t exist then

All you can hope for is that it puts a rocket up their arses because tonight was largely dreadful.
No intensity, no desire to win the ball back, players isolated constantly.
Dare I say it but we outplayed both tactically and individually tonight.

The crowd has been flat as a pancake all night, in the home end at least anyway.

Clearly too good for that level, hopefully gives him the platform to get back to a better level
