  1. He’s just settled in really well hasn’t he? Looks a Villa player already, some of his showings have been a bit iffy but that’s been in line with team performances during that time, he’s drifted out of matches but I thought it was an incredibly mature performance yesterday. The early indications on this one is that we’ve done well, fingers crossed he’s got another few levels in him for Unai to unlock because on top of what we’ve seen so far, plus his raw attributes, any improvement would see him become a real player.
  2. Outstanding yesterday and my MoTM. Put a great shift in, was cool and calm on the ball, often receiving passes inside our own area, almost scored a worldie, perfect pass over the top to assist Watkins’ goal. I think that’s his best performance in a Villa shirt and he’s starting to look like he’s enjoying his football again.
  3. I feel like the results yesterday gave us a lift going in to today, I thought we were close to being spent after recent showings but today we got stronger as the game went on. It’s a massive step toward securing 5th at least but fingers crossed it gives us the platform and energy to go on and match/better Spurs’ results.
  4. Would be a damn shame to lose this game now because up to now we’ve played well and like a team pushing for champions league football.
  5. Yep, there’s not many people I truly envy on this planet but Ryan Reynolds is definitely one of them.
  6. I remember that experiment and it was horrendous (Legia away)
  7. Going to be a tough second leg but if we can carve out some set pieces I think we can score another one or two. That being said, I can definitely see them scoring 2 or more too potentially so should be a good game for the neutral. Emi was immense tonight, Watkins played well, everyone else was mostly hit and miss, we just don’t seem anywhere near as coherent as we were earlier in the season, though it cannot be understated how many key players we’re missing and the knock on effect of everyone else having to play so many more minutes.
  8. We look tired, probably as much mentally as physically, saturday will have taken a lot out of us, I think that was evident in watkins’ post match, ironically he’s the only one who seems to have a bit of zip and energy about him, maybe save for Rogers. Luiz is frustrating me, he’s done some decent stuff but generally taking too many touches and not seeing the passes on around him, defensively we’re really not in good shape, the sooner we can get cash back the better all round with Konsa back in the middle. Fingers crossed for a lead at the end of this one
  9. Sky sports reporter doing a piece from outside VP just now. “Villa don’t have too many injuries to worry about, just Cash and Lenglet” Piss poor, really is. Just a complete lack of any form of dedication to the craft
  10. And numpties too busy checking their phones to realise they’ve dropped down to 50mph in the middle lane
  11. It was more from a view on traffic flow rather than safety, although a lot of modern cruise control is adaptive so it will regulate your speed based on what’s in front of you, to the point that it can and will aid a hard stop if needed, so there may be some support for it adding a degree of safety too. Maybe a step too far having it as part of the leaning to drive process, as you say it’s a feature but it’s a bloody helpful one!
  12. Exactly this. He’s the epitome of the ongoing and systematic dumbing-down of media to make it more appealing to an increasingly inattentive audience
  13. I think using cruise control should be part of the learning to drive process nowadays, assuming of course that it’s not. If folks used cruise control more often we’d have less traffic problems on motorways, it’s an absolute godsend in my opinion, in particular during the 50mph zones etc.
  14. 10>6>4>2 Guess the next club to fall foul will get 0 right?! Plucking numbers out of the air springs to mind
  15. Could go any way today dependent on who we have fit and available, bothers me that they have Toney back (and Mbeumo I think), the wannabe zulu knobhead will be motivated today for sure. If we can get a goal up early on I think we’ll be okay, if not I can see it being a struggle, we’ve started the last few home games sluggishly whereas earlier in the season we were winning games in the first 25 mins or so, hopefully we can get back to that kind of performance.
  16. I owned a Nottingham Forest shirt, the yellow one with the black detail on the chest from the late 90’s, only other English club shirt I’ve bought/owned and did so because my best mate in school at the time was randomly a Forest fan (we were in South Wales), also went to a few Forest matches with him and his old man, who incidentally ran the junior football team I played for and we had an annual game against ‘Notts Forest Reds’ which was some kind of club affiliated junior side at the time.
  17. Da fuq, he was meant to be back in the squad last week and now he’s out for the season, that’s some turnaround.
  18. Well that’s only embarrassing if it’s a microdick….I’m thinking it might be something worse……
  19. What embarrassing / incriminating stuff did they have on him to ‘force’ him to pass on details for others, would be my first question.
  20. I guess if we do get the extra champs lge place that’ll mean 8th getting Europa conf place, assuming Coventry don’t win the fa cup which I think we can safely say won’t happen, so it’s gonna be a real bun fight for 6th-8th by the look of things
  21. This is new levels of luck for an already incredibly lucky team, Chelsea should be 3 or 4 up and go in level. Seriously, how effing lucky can one club get, gifted a goal at 2-0 down, when was the last time we got gifted a goal like that?!
  22. Olsen did well, naff all he could have done about any of the goals and looked pretty comfortable on the ball. Encouraging glimpses from Zaniolo, Rogers and of course Duran - who kept his cool and played largely disciplined, which is great because at least we know we can trust in him to deputise when needed. Thought Konsa did well up against Grealish, just a shame we didn’t get in at half time 1-1 following such a basic error.
  23. Damn shame to concede such a stupid goal after what was generally a fine 45 mins. Luiz giving the ball away and then the foul to tee up the free kick and Zaniolo being a coward cost us. We definitely looked tired toward the end of the half, unsure we can sustain it for 90+ but we do look decent on the break, the ball for Diaby in behind Gvardiol is on all the time (well, in those fleeting moment we have the ball anyway)
