He was our player of the month in November, and has had a couple of Man of the Match performances.

This suggests he has had games where he has been better than " average at best ".

Perhaps equally, the insinuation/exaggerations that he is more useless than Tonev and never contributes anything to the team should stop?

Do me a favour, minus the points he has helped us secure this season, from our tally, and get back.

Where have I said that? Now you are just making things up, the average at best comment is about his season at a whole

Bailey isn’t a right winger, I’ve seen him on the left with Villa and he’s been great. The issue is our system doesn’t depend on that. Next season I guess we’ll use different formations so he’ll still be helpful. Williams is different, he’s better while play on the right.

The whole bailey is playing out of position needs to stop, he has had opportunity across many positions and has been average at best

Why on earth would you lose respect for him. He's a pundit being paid to give his opinion.

One club in decline and the other heading the opposite direction,

When spurs lose kane we are way ahead of them and this so called top six is dead in the water,

So him saying Emi should go there , shows us no respect. If he has no respect for us , why should we respect him?

Tielemans was awful for a team that got relegated. There's no way any of the the teams that finished above us would go near him and neither should we.

If we don't get Emery, this could easily be said about mcginn

His stock has fallen over the last 12 months but I guess there is a player in there somewhere.  Emery has a habit of signing rejects and ne'er do wells and making them a polished outfit.  I think that's where I'd place Tielemans at the current time.   Who does he replace, or, who is he better than at Villa?

I was shocked when I realised he still only 26. Seems on the face of it low risk, free , would have to play his way into our midfield and if you get the best out of him then you have a great player in your squad

  6. To be completely honest, when he first came through, I thought decent player but possibly just Andre Green level but every year he has improved steadily until this season where he has made a jump from being a solid premier league player to potential superstar.

Think Dean Smith deserves a lot of credit for his development, most of us would have definitely wanted him loaned out a few years back but it was definitely the right call to keep him here to mature in the first team

We (V Sports) don’t own him though, we can only refuse any bid from another club.  The individual player has choices as well.  Until we organise player contracts to accommodate the relationship then there is no difference aside from we have more data on the player and we might get a better deal for the player.

In a situation where the player wants to leave and is not willing to accept a villa move than he should be told we will consider offers outside of premier league. I know that sounds a bit harsh but if they are part of the villa family we don't strengthen rivals, just like we won't be sending players on loan or permanent to clubs around them in their league

There’s absolutely no way he goes anywhere but us if we want him.

You would like to think so, otherwise what's the point in investing in these other clubs. Let's say he ends up at an arsenal, I'd be slightly concerned about this whole V sports thing

  9. We move on with as little damage to our relationship with mendes as possible,

If reports were true about us approaching poch, well then we clearly always have contingency plans in place

  10. I've no problems with it once there is a plan B , klopp used it at Liverpool and was games where it was failing but his ego stopped him from changing it mid game, the 7:2 was probably a good example or vinicius jr tearing it up in the champions League. I do trust emery to change it for different teams though

I absolutely love Parejo, one of my favourite players to watch, but if there's one player that doesn't suit the Premier League in 2023 it's him.

I know nothing about him but by just looking him up , 34 year old central midfielder, I'd assume a squad player that would be brought in to benefit the team by just being around with possiblity of a coaching role in the future, would that be wide of the mark?

Yep being linked with everybody at the moment and so I think the criteria for creating new player threads may need to be higher this summer than usual, otherwise it’s going to be crazy.

Bring on crazy, few months ago we were looking at championship football, just enjoy the fun

  13. Brilliant again yesterday, such a consistent player .

The Harry kane moment , I don't really fault him for that, it's been a bit of a weakness for us a few time this season, I put it down to communication. If you're gonna play that ball to Dougie , you have got to make him aware of the danger at his back

McGinn is a man possessed so far. Brilliant.

And as if the ref is going to book that thicko conkface 😡

Master class, hopefully we can get one more and then put kamara in beside him to finish the game out

I thought he was excellent for City especially when he played as a false 9 but hasn’t been great for Barca at his age he just needs a regular run playing football.

Ya I always thought he looked a great talent, Still young and if we go for him it means unai sees something in him, so yes for me

Just scanning through Reddit, I haven’t seen a bad word about him from Barca fans so I guess that’s a good thing

Looking through a Barca fourm also, they seem to believe he was against the return of Messi and this is one of reasons he is leaving
