Fantastic player defensively but won't give us much of anything going forward as a rule, so maybe an option for the Dendoncker role should he head out.

    Ashley Young's replacement?

I wouldn't count Jed as he technically hasn't been at the club, being out on loan multiple times

God, I hope this isn't true...  Adams is a Championship level player and I say this as an American who has seen a lot of him.  Good character/leadership ability, but isn't that good of a footballer.

Interesting to see the Sevilla link, wonder with Monchi,  will we see us linked to a lot of players Sevilla are linked with

A lot of people push this narrative fo Leon being arrogant but he’s nothing but he’s a very humble man. And then they jump on Craig Butler  yes Craig can be outspoken on social media but I believe that come from a good place deep down. The man has dedicated his life into developing and given youngsters in Jamaica an opportunity and path way into football and even took extra shifts cleaning toilets to keep Phoenix academy afloat. He could have easily rode Leon’s success and packed in the academy and lived an easy life but he genuinely believes in making a difference.

No doubt butler has been great for a lot of these kids but the whole easily rode Leon success and lived an easy life is a bit far fetched, the man wants to be front and center at all time, even the signing the contract was all about Craig and not Leon, he goes on drunken rants on his insta stories, mostly about Jamaican football but the odd one about us.

I watch a lot of boxing and these characters are common, Teofimo Lopez father and Danny Garcia's father come to mind, but then you have great men like lomo's father that let their son take the stage

Do you just mean Craig Butler?

Indeed, Leon has never come across as anything but a really good guy but he really needs to real that guy in a bit,

He seems to be doing the same rubbish to another poor young lad on Chelsea's books

Weird comment - he's not an arrogant guy at all.

Think it's the whole entourage around him, one of them being very vocal and has had no problems criticising the club in public

In fairness, my issue with Saudi is the whole sports washing,

But if we were in Newcastle's shoes and knew we were breaking no existing rules, I'd be delighted with this aswel

  8. I don't watch Spanish football, so this could just be complete waffle, feel free to say if is.

From what I've read about Pau , his biggest strength is reading the game. I have a feeling that if we are looking to bring him in its because Unai sees him as the perfect trigger for his high line. I believe he would have no problems playing at right center back and really think Konsa may be considered as an option in that right back position as city have used Akanji this season.

He really hasn’t got better under Emery. Honestly, he hasn’t. It’s a nonsense statement. Konsa, Mings, Luiz, McGinn, Watkins and Ramsey have got better under Emery. Buendia has absolutely not. He’s the same level he was under Gerrard regardless of what you opinion of that level is/was.

Think a lot of us are guilty of defending buendia religiously because of his work rate and probably his nasty streak that ya love to see in a player but you are correct , he hasn't pushed on and should only be a player we use in rotation

And what did we do with the £70m we "didn't" spend? What if we signed Sulemana and Olise for the £20m they went for when we splurged.

We'd have won more points and finished top 4 last year with those two. Because we'd also have had £50m left hanging around and we could have signed a decent back-up striker.

    Possibilities, possibilities.

A goal every 496 minute's in premier League last season , playing a second forward, Bailey is clearly clinical

Maybe if they were still a PL team.

Leicester have one of the highest wage bills outside the Big 6, and Maddison has only 12 months left on his contract, they aren't getting £50m for him.

    Ya I agree , c can't see them getting 50million for him,

What is the highest a player has gone for the year they got relegated?

  12. Seems like this is the type of guy you gamble on that could push us towards champions League football if goes well but if not we are looking like mid table team

Where as Barnes probably guarantees us to probably finish similar position in top 7

    Would that be fair?
