  1. Honestly this forum I'm in on this signing, and think he'd be a great addition. The fact we are in for the Chelsea captain alone, we are back baby. I love Luiz, and I am not saying Gallagher should be his replacement btw, but I think we'll see a fair bit of maneuvering in the market, and if Luiz is sacrificed (wages ask, only 2 years left, good resell value still), unfortunately he'd be the one I'd be more comfortable with leaving.
  2. I'd fly over from Australia and drive him wherever for 200 Million I'd also cry the whole way
  3. Why the hell am I seeing talk about selling Watkins
  4. I agree with this, and your other comment above. Unai will 100% improve this guy and I also think he suits our system very well. I think he has a variety of roles he could play in our team. Can play the deeper role, as an 8, and then also in the 10. This is crucial for us next season! Does he start over Luiz and Kamara - maybe not. But midfield options of Kamara, Luiz, Mcginn, Youri and Gallagher in my opinion is up there with the best in the league. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the midfield 3 with Rice and Bellingham at the Euros too.
  5. Mason Greenwood should not even have his name mentioned as a potential Villa player. It's taken a long time for us to build a squad that is so universally adored by the fanbase. The last thing we need is any division within the squad, fanbase etc. For me, this window we have to prioritise the full back areas and defensive midfield. Kamara is crucial to how we play, and we have no one else like him. We need another to come in and replace whilst he's injured, but also sit alongside in certain games. Kamara's use of the ball vastly underrated in my opinion. Ndidi a big no for me. Even on a free. Kamara, Luiz, Youri, Barkley (once confirmed), plus two more for me. I'm not sure on who but another 6/defensive midfielder, and then maybe a technician who can offer more control in games. The Full back areas really depend on how Unai will line up. i really like the idea of Hermoso, with a more attack minded right back like Frimpong. But I also don't mind a defensive minded back four of Konsa/Pau/Mings/Hermoso. Only issue is if we play with that box in attack Unai has preferred for a majority of the season (before the injuries decimated the squad), width from the full backs would be missed. Does anyone know if Hermoso gets forward a lot? Either way, really excited for this window, even if we have to be smart with FFP - so many bargains and great deals out there. Up the bloody Villa
  6. There's not even one negative around this deal. Upgrade on Chambers, Donk, Tim. Tactically flexible. Cheap. Fills home grown quota. Knows the club and league. European experience.
