Bournemouth no mugs they were building something last season and Emery was full of praise when we faced them last season. Bold move to sack Davis and appoint Iraola but it seems like a good move.

Undroppable at the moment
JJs got hia work cut out trying to get back in!
It’s a positive not having to rush him back. He can start European games.

Solanke is in a purple patch of form for goals. He's not what we need. Not good enough for what we aspire to be.
Sounds like a MON - Lerner signing

I asked if they feel more like Villa fans after Jack got smacked by bluenose, scored the winner and said it was the best day of his life. Whether it "soon changed after", or not, is irrelevant to the question.
And yes, of course it's time to move on. As I said in my post, his move was best for all concerned. This doesn't mean we're not allowed to celebrate a Holte End hero and what he did for us.
He wanted out back when McLeish was manager his dad was pushing for a move to Man Utd all those years ago but McLeish managed to hold on to him. Under Bruce he was looking for a way out and the same under Smith he never at any point believed in the project and and backed us. Not taking anything away from what he achieved here for ever grateful and all that. But guys like Martinez and Luiz are fully invested in us and our project. If he was a real fan he would have stuck around. I’m genuinely not bitter before anyone says so.

More than when he was punched by a Blues fan, scored the winner and said it was the best day of his life?
That soon changed after he scored at Old Trafford . Fantastic memories along with his goal after his injury at Derby. But it’s time to move on.

Utter winner nutter Guardiola won't stand for this, I feel sorry for Luton in the next game, as there's probably going to be a big backlash. Hopefully Luton watched us play and picked up a few ideas
I think Luton might have slim smash and grab chance like any team but I highly doubt we’ll see them outplay and dominate the treble winners.

Try to avoid this thread like the plague, (the above comment that City deliberately bought our players to destabilise us demonstrates why).
However, I wonder if there's even 1% of Jack who pines to come back and experience "this" Villa? He did the right thing moving to City, for him and us, and I'm sure has no regrets. Yet, this is special and I imagine what Jack hoped playing for his boyhood club would be like.
Think he’s brainwashed by the English media to believe that teams like us can compete. Grateful for all he did but we’ve moved well beyond him now we have players like Luiz and Martinez that feel more like Villa fans than Jack ever did.

As good as Konsa has been I feel Carlos will be more complimentary to Pau.
That added strength and physicality will add a lot to the defence.
I think the 3 are complimentary to each other the way Unai has rotated and managed all of them is excellent and then we have Lenglet on the bench with Mings to return from injury we have fantastic depth at the back.

Haaland in his pocket

First and foremost he’s just a really good defender. So glad we didn’t send him out on loan in favour of Acuna.

Amazing unbelievable team performance .

Is our physio related to Lee Hendrie ?

Gael Clichy giving him credit for his amazing work at PSG and saying that he wasn’t given enough credit for his time there echoing what some of us have said already .

I read somewhere, where they said he is not an " arm around the Shoulder " type manager....and he hasn't spoken to Hause in 12 months....I don't know the full story there, so can't comment, suffice to say I believe, UE will handle it well.
I don't know whether he is or he isn't, and arm around the shoulder manager, but if he isn't, it doesn't bother me.
Some of the most successful managers wasn't.....Ron Saunders wasn't....He was hard nosed and hard to please.
Unai is not there to win a popularity parade amongst the players, he is there to drive them to success...Running with the pack, is not a good thing, it can harbour familiarity, and that can breed contempt....I think Unai is well aware of that.
I have full confidence, that Unai knows when to praise and when to give rollockings.....He doesn't suffer fools gladly, and it shows.
I presume the comments towards him, was complimentary, because thats how I took it.
I like a manager to be a tad aloof, and protective/ defensive of his designation.
From the book El Maestro I read about him that’s has quotes from former Emery players and staff his man management skills are good, he instills confidence in players by identifying the areas to improve in their game and helping them achieve that goal. He’s very honest and if a player isn’t up to standard he has no problem telling the player that he isn’t good enough but has enough class to keep the player involved until he finds a club rather than bombing them out.

Did someone shoot Saka in the leg there?

Lost Joe Burrow for the season on the same day traded Tua away so have Jordan Love and Mathew Stafford , Stafford scored well last week but he usually follows with a poor performance. Would anyone start Love vs Chiefs?

Well done Dallas D, lowest points return all season.
You gotta laugh
Marquese Bell and Daron Bland absolutely smashed it in one of my IDP league’s.

You're joking, right?
There’s more eyes one the conference league than the FA cup these days. If the likes of Spurs didn’t share your dismissive opinion they might have won it and started a platform towards European success .

Conference League it’s global recognition and a platform to build on for consistent European success.
