Part of our problem is that our players are scared to play at Villa park, they panic when their own fans get on them after each mistake.

I think part of the problem with this club is the atmosphere at Villa park. Its a very toxic atmosphere to play in.

This is very evident now, we have set of new players and even they are struggling mentally when previously they had solid careers at their old clubs.

Steve Bruce has a huge task, its going to be tough for any manager coming in.

The fans seem more interested in intimidating the opposition fans then supporting the team properly.

This guy is on the Lambert/Sherwood level of management. Hope he gets the bullet and his useless coaching staff of Clark and Bond too. Seriously, how could all three of them decide that that going 3 at the back against Newcastle was the best thing for this game? Absolute chancers.

I remember Lambert doing the same against a Stoke side at home, different manager, different league...same shit.

Having missed today's game, what was the verdict on Albert today?

Hard to judge the little game time he had, Ipswich dealt with him well. Looked up for it and always looking to take players on.

Will be kinda fun to play Aston Villa in the Championship on Football Manager 17.

So long as we get new owners that is...

Randy Lerner welcomes you to the club. You are given £0 funds and are advised to clear out the high earners.

As part of the clubs vision you will be limited to free transfers and solely judged on avoiding relegation and keeping the wage expenditure to a minimum.

We wish you good luck, you will need it.

Didn't he have the rather prolific Jordan Rhodes playing along side him last season? A player I'm amazed hasn't been signed by a Prem club.

Not sure he will cut it in the prem, we shall see.

Someone on the coaching staff should be examining his performances for Blackburn and work out where all the goals came from so we can replicate it. However I am willing to place a large bet that no one has given it a second thought

Probably should of done that...you know.....when he initially signed.

As opposed to us who are running at £30m annual losses, shit squad, no manager, want away owner and just sacked 500 staff.

Well yes the thing is Lerner is trying to sell but Cashley said "They are stuck with me if they go down". I guess it all depends if we can get new owners and start sorting the mess out.

Does anyone think that in training he ever manages to pass it to one of his own players because it seems to be something which is completely unable to do on match day.

I find it astonishing that a player who plays international football for a decent footballing nation has been such an awful awful signing. One of too many who have turned into a liability instead of an asset

If placed in a team with leaders and competent players then he might do a job. Unfortunately doesn't do himself any favours and merges in with the mentally weak squad we have.

The turning point? Our 3-2 loss to Leicester.

They had 2 draws before that game, came back wonderfully to snatch the points and never looked back. By comparison, we were broken and never came back.

That just highlight how weak minded our players are.

    Sorry Remy.

    Next.

Next? Next? Who is next? Anyone with half a brain is going to avoid this shipwreck. Even if we pay them a high salary what are they suppose to do with this bunch of clowns.

What I don't understand with Remi is why we haven't just gone out all attack at this stage, we always try to knick a goal and then go 1-0 down then the game is finished.

argument on TV earlier moaning about Ronaldo attitude and think Didi Hamann said he is the hardest working player at Real Madrid and trains everyday to make himself better that he can afford to be a bit petulant

well if one of best players in history of games feels need to stay back to improve himself then our players really should be doing the same and going by our skillset I think some of them probably cant wait for manager to blow it up for end of training

That's the reason why they are the best players. They have the continued motivation to train hard, even with boring training if they feel there is a weakness there.

Even mediocre players with limited talent with that continued motivation will eventually succeed.

None of the players at villa (last 6 years) ever seem to improve and go backwards continually.

The question is if its the type of personality we sign that's the problem or the club not doing enough to motivate the players.
