The striped background on the 90's badge is awful, makes it way worse than the current badge. Suspect nostalgia is playing a big part in the praise for that.

100%. It’s awful design wise but it’s my favourite by a long way.

Did we have a badge between 1886 and 1956

I’ve seen that pic before and I wouldn’t put too much stock in that image of badges as it’s completely wrong for the most part.

I had a mate who drank weak tea, he used to say just “threaten it with a teabag”.

  4. Just enjoy what you can for now because the planet for us is ****. It will survive after us and rebuild of course but for us we have caused it to turn into something that will wipe us out as a species and rightly so. We are a cancer to this planet.

We vote people in that don’t give a shit about the planet. We ridicule those that do and as the poster above points out, more people in uproar over a **** painting instead of whats happening to the planet.

He did a great video with Tom Scott some time ago, who had not been a coffee drinker up to that point, with James going in to a lot of detail about different flavours and such

Yeah I watched that, it was so interesting. I’d love to do something like that as I have a preconceived notion about the flavour of coffee that I like.

  6. As previously stated, this is the first time in a while there has been a feel good effect about the club, surely now is the best time to do it?

As pointed out, two things can happen at the same time.

  7. Seriously though. I’ve tried to get into ‘proper’ coffee and just can’t be bothered. Ive dabbled with Aeropress’s and French Presses, haven’t got the interest or budget for more expensive stuff and have just settled on illy instant.

    Interesting take by some here.

5 quid or nothing, the guy puts together a good quality show. I don't always agree with everything he says but it's usually a good listen regardless.

I'm not sure why he gets dogs abuse by some on here. Is it because he's Canadian?

I don't think his plan to go "patreon only" is going to work but I don't begrudge him making that decision, nor his desire to do this show as a full time job.

Anyone who pays £5 a month to him is a complete moron. Sorry. That’s streaming platform of choice territory. Netflix is one pound more expensive for the basic monthly plan.

Really like this band. All 3 songs released from the upcoming album out at the end of the month have been fantastic.

New album is bloody awesome. Seriously underrated band who deserve much bigger things but seem to be completely unknown to most.

  10. Been drinking Yorkshire Tea Biscuit flavour recently. It’s godly. It may have ruined normal tea for me. Not everyone will like it though, it may be a bit divisive.

  11. Wow. James Cleverly showing his true colours. What an embarrassment of a human being.

LGBT football fans told to be respectful at Qatar World Cup

LGBT football fans who attend the World Cup in Qatar should show "a little bit of flex and compromise", Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has said.

Speaking to LBC on Wednesday, he told fans travelling from England and Wales to be "respectful of the host nation", where same-sex activity is illegal.

    Shocking stuff.

    Who are you calling snowflakes?

The club have told him he can't wear them. Quite rightly, they don't want to create a political divide within the club or within the fanbase.

While I'd support the message on a placard, if the club let one of our players wear that message, I'd have been incredibly disappointed. I'd be surprised if it doesn't fall foul of league rules anyway, if the club hadn't intervened.

I mean, you’re right of course as usual, but just, ugh….
