im giving my opinion on the only full game I’ve seen him so far! 

Like I said the next full game I see him in he has a worldy I’ll congratulate him. 

But no use use sugar coating things. In my opinion. Yesterday. Especially 1st half. I thought he was very poor. 

Crazy thing, as a villa fan, I want him to be the best LB in the league! Marvelous!

Don’t disagree he’s up against a good player. But it’s the basic defensive principles or lack of them I should say.

Being too high than the rest of the defensive line. Not pressuring the ball as the first defender. Recovery run to get into position to deny that goal. 

These to me are not so much to do with who he’s marking but rather things that are non negotiable for a full back.

Went back last week to celebrate anniversary. Was Class! had a concierge that set up reservations and what not. Reps nowhere near as pushy, just sat by the pool all day, siesta and then dinner at night, was amazing. Staff are so friendly. 24 hour sports bar. Massive complex so things weren't busy, never felt unsafe. Will deffo go back. Cheap as well, not sure if its 5 star like they advertise, but they really look after guests.

He was gash first half defensively. Looked great going forward and picked it up second half. So credit for that. But my god he was awful first half.

He’s been an absolute liability defensively. Out of position. Not denying services. Reactive not proactive. 

Looked decent going forward. But everything for them coming down his side.
