is McCormack playing?
I was going to say the same about Bacuna

I've never seen a more selfish player in a Villa shirt.
His attitude stinks as well and I'd be glad to see us cut our losses on him.
I can see why we've been linked with players like Brady who at least put an effort in, which is the absolute minimum Bruce would expect.

first time in years i sqw the villa jersey available over the counter in ireland, as a championship team for some reason. 75 euro!!!!
so i said id go to the official page and get a training t shirt instead and they are a rip off too! mabye later in the year they will go down
Much cheaper on Sports Direct I think if you can stomach giving Mike Ashley your custom.

I wonder what the chances of this being televised are.
If we had been drawn at home it was a model for TV but not so sure about at White Hart Lane

Leeds (A) - D
Wigan (H) - W
Norwich (A) - L
QPR (A) - W
Burton Albion (H) - W
Leeds (H) - W13 points is my estimate

Travelling over for this one and I'm a lot more concerned than I originally was when booking it.
I'd take a draw all day long. 1-1 with Jedinak to get off the mark

Hopefully he's better than Steve Clarke.
To be fair to Steve Clarke he was number 2 to a very poor manager.
As Bruce's number 2 it would be a completely different story.

1. Dublin, Ireland
2. St. Patrick's Athletic
3. All the Irish players in the early 90's

Personally I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole but if we do sign him I'll be happy to be proved wrong by him.
Great player on the pitch - it's the other stuff that would concern me.

We are watching Dundalk winger Daryl Horgan who has recently been called upto the Republic of Ireland squad.
For anyone not familiar with this lad, trust me he can play.
Scored a great goal Thursday night away to Zenit and has been outstanding all season.
Nothing to lose signing him on a free

Filling in the corners and making it a soulless bowl like the Etihad, London Stadium etc would be a disaster imo.
We've got to keep it as 4 separate stands, all of which can be improved:
1. Safe standing in the lower Holte
2. Totally ripping up the North Stand and rebuilding it in a similar style to the Holte End
3. Improving the exterior of the Trinity Road and Doug Ellis Stand
4. I'd also like to see another statue or two to commemorate legends of the past. A statue to commemorate '82, a Paul McGrath statue etc

Remember him totally missing the ball when trying to clear it for United against Bradford years ago and they scored from it.
A mate of mine has a son who played with Hull not too far back though and he says he's a quality coach.

1-0 to Villa. 23,787

1-0 Villa and Jedinak to get his first goal for the club. Nice strike from the edge of the area

For me it's an indentity thing, all the above clubs mentioned to some degree have been so enthusiastic and consistent that those songs have become apart of their identity. Villa seem to have lost some of their identity or so I feel anyway, coming from family that lived in and around Aston for years until the late 70's the whole vibe has changed. I think something that harks back to our roots or reflects where we're from is s good thing especially in the changing face of Brum. Oasis very much identify themselves with Citeh and Manchester, I don't think wanting us to sing something identifiable with Birmingham rather than Manchester is a bad thing at all. I also think we're a week or two away from getting mugged off by Liam.
Agree with this. It's got to be Black Sabbath or Ocean Colour Scene.

Personally I don't think he can have any complaints about the ban.
If he could he would have contested it.
Totally petulant act and let's hope he learns from it.
-
I'll reserve judgement on this until half time at least. Doesn't look good on paper but then again it did on Saturday and we were rubbish.
-
Really difficult fixture this one.
Reading are tough to beat on their own patch and a few weeks back I would have said a draw would be a good result.
Given our predicament however, we need all 3 points (which is highly unlikely to happen)
-
I'm more confident of a win tomorrow than I have been for any Villa game the last 18 months or so.
If we play to our potential we should be putting teams like Wolves to bed comfortably.
-
I think the last time I was there I just paid a quid at the door IIRC
-
We'll still have Rudy in January and with Grealish and McCormack still around I think we can cope without Ayew and Kodjia for a few games.
A positive start with a few wins in the next few weeks and that gap to 6th place will not look too big at all.

Dr Tony came back home,
Sailed across the ocean.
Sorted out his football club,
With Steve Bruce and promotion.

Steve will pick the players he reckons have the best hope of getting us out of the division.
Personally I wouldn't have Gabby near the team.
But I don't have 4 promotions on my CV.
