    so where would we fit in Reo Coker and Petrov then ? Keep them in rotation. It's better to gave a selection of good players for cover rather than one play per position and then having trouble when one gets injured.

    It's not like he's been transfer listed because WHU don't need him though. He's been transfer listed by request and I'm sure they wouldn't have minded hanging onto him. NRC is a quality player and will progress and become better and better. Could be a more energetic version of Makelele IMO. Let's just hope it's true

    As far as i'm concerned we only need three players, A fast goalscoring striker - Defoe/Bellamy/Bent. A proper center mid, a hard bastard - Sidwell/Barton/Parker And a right back - Jagielka/Young. All the other players we will sign are just improvements on what we have. And I trust MON to make quality signings to push the current first team players out.

    Pablo - They were just examples I think Scott Parker may be, although the price would be largely inflated. I guess it all depends on whether Spam go down. If they do we can take NRC off their hands. But if they don't, like Parker, his price will be largely inflated.

    I cannot see anyone else who would fit the bill and be available. By fit the bill I mean be capable in that position, be able to improve (so have potential), be the right age bracket, be playing at the level, be ambitious, and who would not go to or aim for a top 3 or 4 side at this stage Does Scott Parker not fit that mould? Lassana Diara or Mathieu Flammini? I'm not disagreeing BTW, I just want to know how you can be so sure NRC would be a fantastic signing.

    You miss my point, I aimed it at Richard because he seems so confident of signing NRC.
