  1. ? That requires an explanation if one attempts to justify the point made. Could be the unfair tax on my efforts in work that are hived off to subsidise one of the richest royal families on earth, fund an illegal war and keep index linked politicians in the subsidised lunch luxury they have come to presume to be their right. That can be quite annoying. But that's less so unfair taxation, but more so an unfair system of government which still assumes we have a monarchy and doesn't give people's votes the worth they deserve.
  2. If anyone ever manages to travel back in time, it won't matter because I'm sure the changes that person would cause would probably result in the end of the world.
  3. Problem is that because we live in the modern world with free trade and the ability to possess what we want, closing up wage gaps will seem unfair to people in jobs considered more important. It will probably be impossible to bring everyone down to the same level of wages, despite the fact that a job should be nothing more than a contribution to society. But no one will see it like that. It needs to be enjoyable so people are motivated, and it needs to be paying at a level that makes doing it worthwhile. Only way to have such a system is literally emigrate to a deserted island, set up a colony, become entirely self-sufficient, and allow people in based a) their desire to live in such a system, and if they will be useful to society.
  4. I like the use of 'but' in that statement. As though you'll be judged for being in that category, so you need to give a reason
  5. Chlorophorm is your friend* *© Gabby15 I might have had him in mind when I posted that...
  6. Are you a SHA fan? How dare you, that is disgusting!
  7. I think that's a fair statement, but I can see why he put three strikers on the pitch. But from the sounds of things, he should have actually put Heskey up front where he belongs if he's going to play, then either Milner, Young or Gabby in attacking midfield, so we had some pace to get back and help if necessary. would that be gabby who scores goals? you would replace him for heskey who doesnt score goals? weird and so the heskey points per game total gets even worse, as does the lets play 4 4 2 instead of a winning formula of 4 5 1. never mind, im sure once 4th is out of reach more excuses... i mean explinations, will be brought forward. I didn't say that Heskey should be replaced with Gabby. What I said was if Heskey is playing, at least play him up front where he is supposed to play. If we're playing with two big strikers, Gabby's pace getting behind the defence is obviously going to be less effective, because Blackburn would just play a deeper line. He would still be able to get forward anyway. If I had it my way, we'd be playing 4-5-1 against Blackburn. It was blatantly going to be a scrappy, long-ball kind of game. We should have relied more on the counter.
  8. Yes those are facts. But it's complete statistical irrelevance. We didn't lose today because of Heskey and we didn't win those other games because of Sidwell. It's pure coincidence. if you dont like the answer, dont ask the question I was being facetious because the original post didn't really lack any strength as an argument.

  10. Sidwell really helped us win this game. And Heskey really helped us lose this this game. If you're going to make ridiculous 'factual' generalisations, make sure they are actually facts.

  12. Maybe you were subconsciously a little scared, which turned you whiter as a sheet
  13. Hope so. Carew doesn't sound like he's done much, and we need to keep more of the ball.
  14. Apart from Reading Away, 20 yards wide Yeah, but....erm.... Whatever
  15. I wouldn't say unlucky Dave. Should have hit the target. We don't seem to have a player who we can guarantee will score from the spot every time, like Judas Barry did.
