Why would they bid £33 million? They only have to bid £32.5 million. If it's a bigger team, then surly he will go there anyway, especially if he reads idiot LFC fans views on him.

I will be honest, I didn't see the Yorke transfer coming. When he said he wanted to leave the way he did that hurt. I knew 6 months after signing Benteke he wouldn't be here long. It's only his injury last year why he stayed so long.

If we get the usual £10-15 million on top of the Benteke money, this could transform the team.

Does seem weird that Sherwood has chosen to let people know if they didn't already know so close to such an important game. Seems really strange.

We really don't need to be advertising out biggest asset to other clubs!

He said he needed time to assess Lambert but felt that he was doing a good job but then acknowledged the role was new to him and now Sherwood is in he realises how much was lacking before. Hindsight and all that.

 

Director of football is on back burner as Sherwood brings a lot of development knowledge with him that Lambert didn't have. However it is a model that Villa will have eventually and if done properly should only be a plus for the manager.

That's a great point. We're the only ones who escaped without relegation. Blackburn, Leeds, Newcastle, QPR even City (though not quite under the same circumstances) all dropped after spending big money. We didn't.

That's been more luck than judgment in the last 4 years.

Yeah and there's no video of him catching the shirt. Maybe they both caught it at the same time. People like to add 2+2 together to get a villain.

Season 1 was by far the best.

Will be interesting how they do next season with absolutely no source material to base on.

They know what's going to happen though. Tyrian meeting Dani is already past the books.

I look forward to 6 points next season...we missed them this season.
