  1. Oh for the love of god....... As it stands in 10 day's time Randy Lerner will become the owner of a 58% stake in Aston Villa FC, he will then loan the club some cash until the official takeover date 11 days later. If someone else makes a bid that the board then recommend to supporters then this thing will drag on there will be NO MONEY for the manager to spend before the window closes. But long term AV06 might be the better deal. So thats 4 more months of shit football(maybe) before we see a difference. Im prepared to wait if it is a better deal, thats all i ment.
  2. Surely AV06 have spoken to Villa/Rothschild already? Well if indeed there deal does "blow randy Learners deal out of the water" fair enough lets listen. The present deal isn't going though before the End of the window so a few more weeks wont hurt will it(well i suppose other than my sleeping patten)?
  3. I come to the conclution that a deal is on the way, so im not locked on my computer for hours on end. With O'Neill coming last week and the interview with Doug a few days ago im 99% sure it will happen. I also believe it will take weeks and maybe months. Ive written off the first couple months of the season due to O'Neill not knowing his team and we wont be spending huge sums of money. Its going to be hard and frustraighing, but if youve waited 16+ years(how long ive been going to games) to get rid of Ellis a couple more weeks or months wont hert. I know its hard not hearing anything, i just presume no news is good news.
  4. I wouldn't be inclined to believe it, they don't have the contacts VT has so they've probably plucked it out of thin air unless 'thetrees' tells us otherwise. Stick to VT, and welcome to the greatest Villa Fan site around. Yeah i agree. In the past few weeks ive been to every Villa site there is? VT have had the news hours sometimes days before anyone else. Stick here all the rest get there information from here.
  5. Were being taken over............i think............maybe............i hope.
  6. It does bother me,when for instance one guy was interviewed by sky saying he has no problems with Doug as he got in O'Neill. There are so many easly pleased (may i say fickle) fans around Villa park. Im not celebrating just yet. I like O'Neill, i think his a great coupe for the club, but he will only turn us into a lower midtable club to a higher midtable club under Ellis. arrrggghhhh bollocks i forgot what i was going to say.....................im gonna get another beer.
  7. Sunday Express quote... "..Still, who has been a friend of Ellis for years, has huge backing from another intrested party in Canada"
  8. Im sure i read somwhere that Still was working for Canadians.
  9. Just read the first few pages of this thread. If this does go though this thread should be kept as the highs and lows are pure Aston Villa.
  10. With my sence of humor i would be hung by the Sun and other tablods for being a sexest, Racist, homephobic rocket polisher and the whole country would hate me. So yeah i would.
  11. I have to say this has been a avarage season in Henry terms. Garrard for me. His carred that rarther avarage team into 3rd place.
  12. Where is the none of the above option. If there isn't one im not voting.
  13. Im very picky about my trainers, at the moment ive 2 pairs of Deisel, in love them ATM. I wouldn't be seen dead in a pair of Reebok classics.
  14. Like all except The young ones(sorry im too young to appreciate) and Mr Bean(not my bag). I do think there are to big omissions, Dads Army and Red Dwarf. Rimmer: "Do you think it's because the sub-space conduits have locked with the transponder calibrations and caused a major tachyon surge that has overloaded the time matrix?" Kryten: "Ah, no, sir. I've just been jabbing it too hard." Rimmer: "Erm, I think we're losing sight of the real issue here, which is 'What are we gonna call ourselves?' Erm, and I think it comes down to a choice between 'The League Against Salivating Monsters' or my own personal preference, which is 'The Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation Into Society'. Erm, one drawback with that - the abbreviation is 'CLITORIS'."

    Des Lynam

Dosen't he support Newcastle because he was born in Scotland?
  16. Bla bla bla, same old shit and the same smell. I dont care untill its done. I havent read this thred for over a month, i doubt i will untill its over. Its just doing my head in. I either want to whats going on stage by stage(this is almost impossable due to the stock market rules) or nothing at all untill its done.
  17. Haven't read this thred for weeks now. Only really looked after the Mails front page. As i see it, Aston Villa is for sale, and as yet we haven't found a buyer. Were close but not quite there yet. The new dawn on the history of Aston Villa is over the Horizon.Lets just say im more up beat about the future of Aston Villa than i was 12 months ago.
  18. I dont think any team would sack a manager whos lost 2 in 12 league games.
  19. Nothing happening then. But we do now know. ASTON VILLA IS FOR SALE.
  20. Ask me at the end of the season.
  21. Well i wouldn't have sacked him after the Doncaster, but i would have been close. I think it was more to do with the first season under DOL when we sparked in December more than anything. Before this season i was a big fan. His reaction after the Wycome and Doncaster games have changed that. I wont love him as much again, but his won back a little respect, i have to admit, and i love being wrong, on things like this.
  22. That sounds fantsatic happy 2006 everyone i can see its going to be an intresting one.
  23. Its gonna be a great atmosphere against Everton surely. Come on lets get a full house to celebrate.
