I thought games in which everything gameplay wise is the same, are meant to get better with releases!

I didnt think it would be that good. wasnt a big fan of moderncampfare 2 either, hence not buying it!

Shame thought because alot of people have bought it, maybe the last nail in the coffin for COD?

it's a rental, tops, and thats for the single player, which is quite good, but the multiplayer is no different to whats gone before, and the maps in this are rubbish.

i've given up with the multiplayer already, some of the maps are just too small, you break cover, you're dead, rinse and repeat.

i want to like it, but can't, even black ops multiplayer was better than this, despite being dogged by connection problems.

glad i never paid another £40 for elite aswell. this game is a big let down as far as the multiplayer is concerned.

completed the single player, and it was good, better than i thought. however, i've struggled with the multiplayer, bigtime, just seems like a big ****, every time i move from cover, i get shot in the back, you don't seem to be able to take a corner without running head first into someone. i've come across quite a few campers aswell, which is inevitable, do not understanding how people get enjoyment from playing like that. i'm going to stick with it for a bit longer, but i'll be heading back to battlefield 3 at this rate, and i didnt think i'd be saying that a few weeks ago.

Anyone know if Gamestation are doing their usual "trade in 2 games, get an extra £5 trade-in" on this?

HMV are doing a deal where if you trade in one of four select titles, you can get this for £9.99. I know one of the titles is the new Batman, not sure on the other 3, but i'll be going for that later when i get my copy.

Yes, i think the tactical lights and lazer dots are cheap, but there are things about cod that really should be left out. I've played Cod online since 2. Loved MW2, but all the grenades, rockets and commando knifing really made me hate it sometimes.

I see grenade launchers and rocket launchers are the main weapon now. Great, back to MW2 then. I liked MW2, i just hated all the explosives people used. They are really getting lazy with Call of Duty now.

i've seen a lot saying this is more like mw 2.5, rather than 3, which is good as far as i'm concerned, mw2 was and still is, the best of the series so far.

Enjoyed my first BF experience last night, i can see me really getting into this.

Couple of things...

With regards the med packs, ammo etc. do i just throw them on the floor and let people do with them as they please?

Can someone explain all the different colours on the screen and what they mean? green, blue, orange? whats what?

How do i call for ammo or health?

How do i know if someone on my team needs ammo or health?

How do i signal where the enemy are to my team-mates?

Why the Eck does nobody talk on it?

Green is a squad mate, blue is a team mate, orange is enemy

Drop ammo/medi packs in areas where there is a lot of traffic, you'll pick up a lot of extra points, people will call if they need it, or you can see their health bar above their head, although you get a lot of people that don't bother, so you're dry on ammo, you request some, but it falls on deaf ears. You'll get a defib eventually aswell, allows you to revive dead team mates, little electric shock/skull appears above their body, you get 100 pts for reviving, same as a kill.

I don't talk on it either, i've not found a lot that do have their headsets, but its still fine. Can be annoying be when you get people that are not interested in playing the objective though, you get right up next to an mcom station, heavily guarded, so you wait for squad mates to spawn on you, but when they do, they **** off in the other direction!

Although i'm not having trouble finding servers, games are just lagging all the time.

Tactical flashlight. Pointless. Get rid of it.

Other than that, good game, having more success attacking than defending.

Just don't use the flashlight if you don't life it. Personally I always use a pistol with it.

It's ****' annoying when you get some plum on caspian border in broad daylight aiming one of them at you, as you're as good as dead because you can't see anything, think it's really cheap.

There is cheapness in all shooters. SOS in Gears, certain set-ups in COD etc...

You are right though, part of its puposes is to blind, i thought it was just to see if the dark :oops:

Can't connect to games via quick match, have to search for available games via the server browser, plenty show up then.

I'll buy a standard copy, and buy the map packs as and when they're released, thats all i'm interested in. If they were planning on releasing new maps every month, then i'd do it, but new maps will probably be released every 2/3 months, and they'll fill the months between with new spec ops mission, new weapons etc, that i'm not too fussed about.

i am absolutely smashing this, I was hiding in a bus for the whole of a team deathmatch round and went 15-0, first time I've ever had a round like that on BF!
