  1. Got my copy today. Are the servers even up yet and do i risk putting it in now? A few people saying you might get banned if you stick it in early. I'm guessing if you put it in 1-2 weeks early you might get banned, but not 2-3 days early.

Received my copy this morning too, and yes the servers are up, and you're safe to go online.

  2. I found the handling on F1 2011 way too hard to wrap my head around. I'm kind of worried with the direction Codemasters are going what with Dirt: Showdown and now the news that they won't be bothered to model the car interiors in Grid 2. Even Dirt 3 which I liked was a bit of a step backwards from Dirt 2. I doubt I'll be checking this out unless everyone and their granny says it is absolutely mindblowing.

The series has been split i think, so you've dirt showdown, with all the american extreme sports, buggies, all that bullshit, which i don't really like, and the another game for the proper point-to point rally. I think Codemasters have got the official WRC licence now aswell, so hopefully we'll see the series go back to its roots.

I've downloaded the demo for F1, whilst Codemasters have said they've been working to make things easier for those that use a controller, it's still quite tricky, especially when cornering. Good though.

  3. Bye Charles, Bye Stephen

Zogbia is worth sticking with, he's only been here a season, and PL might be able to get the best out of him. That being said, i only ever saw flashes of quality when he was at Wigan, so i don't know whether we're waiting for consistent performances, that just aint going to come.

As for Ireland, his attitude is questionable, most of the time he just looks like he could take it or leave it, minimal effort, doesnt do enough off the ball, and becomes a passenger, although improved a little towards the end of last season, although thats not difficult as he's done nothing since he joined. He needs to improve big time, or i'd get rid, and i'd consider doing so this summer if a decent offer comes in, chance to rid us of his massive wages, which i think could be better spent elsewhere.

  4. Wiz is always welcome - he knows that. VT wouldn't be the same without it's share of Alien residents.

    Treat them nicely!

No he's not. He's just a bitter Norwich fan that pissed off we've snatched the best thing thats happened to them for years.

They finish above us once, and start giving it the billy big bollocks. Anyway, have you run out of rubbish to rip from twitter?

  5. McNally did very well by himself. He ignored a clause in a contract which meant Norwich were no longer entitled to anything from the pursuing club. If he hadn't ignored it, we would have arrived at the same position as now except Norwich would have a few more sheckles in their pocket. So he clearly messed up. But McNally knows perception is key, so he played it cleverly to his fans and pretended to play hardball with Villa for the coaches.

Fans as a general rule never want to acknowledge that their club is the one that messed up, so the Norwich fans were too ready to believe their chairman when he started ranting about Big Bad Villa. We got our manager. We got him for free. If we had done something wrong, a clearly motivated McNally would have dragged us through the courts. He hasn't done that. The only compo they are entitled to now is whatever was left (if anything) for Culverhouse and Karsa. Given that it's now July, it's likely they'll get nothing for them. Any hero status McNally has in Norwich is down to the fans' reluctance or downright refusal to look at the facts of what happened rather than burying their heads and saying 'no no, Villa are bad, la la la'.

Brief McNally history lesson for you.

When he joined us as CEO in League 1, we were weeks away from administration and approx 32 million in debt.

Now, just 3 years and two promotions on, that debt is now in single figures, plus he got us Lambert.

He's also now a shareholder and director..........yes, he's earned his hero status to us.

    Patronising word removed.

    Nobody cares, just go away.

Your old gaffer has moved onto bigger and better things, get over it.

Despite what you lot think, we're a bigger club than you, and always will be, so **** off.

Second season syndrome ahoy for you boys.

  6. Doesn't make sense to me. GPU and CPU of 360 haven't been completely bollocksed by a game yet. Crysis 2 has already passed the ridiculous graphics test, and Skyrim is the only thing coming out that will test it to the limit.

Plus I won't be able to sodding afford one.

Crysis 2 looks worse than Crysis. It looks worse than Crysis because it had to be scaled back to run on consoles that are 2 generations behind current PC tech.

If you install the DX 11 and high res texture pack on Crysis 2 on the pc, it looks amazing.

You're also judging it on games now, when any new console is likely 2 years+ away. Do you think that just because the 360 stands up now it still will in 2 years time? By then it'll be another generation behind PC graphics, maybe even 2.

I thought 2 looked better on console, its a struggle at times, things slow down and blur a bit, but better looking of the two.

One game i would like to play on PC though, is Battlefield 3, looks the bollocks, although i think i'd struggle with mouse and keys.

I'd like to see next gen consoles soon, hopefully they'll move away from all this motion control bullshit, leave that to Nintendo, they do it better.

  7. Quite the character this Wiz guy is.

Seriously mate, why are you still on this forum. Lambert is gone, everyone bar your ridiculous fans knew it was over as soon as we went for him. What's sad is the obsession you've all got. Naturally, it is shit losing someone you clearly really want to keep, and who has brought your club from the pile of shit you were in league one to Premier League mid-table, but that's what happens in football. There is always a bigger fish unless your Real Madrid/Barcelona.

2 years ago you were in League One, if you genuinely believe Norwich have a better long term outlook than us then I applaud your positivity and sympathise with your delusion. Were I in your shoes I would not in a million years be on a Villa forum, why would you want to be here bathing in the positivity of a fanbase Norwich clearly have zero time for anymore. Were I you, i'd be off the forum and under a rock for the fact that one of the worst ever Villa teams was still a more attractive proposition than the best you have mustered for many a year. Even at our most inept, it was a simple and straightforward appointment for us. Again, were I in your shoes, i'd be trying to forget about it (having had my eyes opened about the stature of my club in the grand scheme of things).

I am so tired of hearing the names Culverhouse/Karsa. If we can get Lambert then REST ASSURED we can get them if we want. The fact you are clinging onto his backroom team as some sort of face saver in this situation is pathetic and small time, much like the attitude of your whole **** club throughout this. We have him now, why on earth would we give two shits about Norwich or the views of your fans now that this is wrapped up, and why on earth would you want to associate with/extend said views to us.

Keep your fat old striker who I am also tired of hearing about (but who is also clawing his way out of your club right now). Keep whoever you want, I am not alone in being entirely uninterested in signing any of your players.

I hate taking this stance, I even feel a bit of a rocket polisher typing it, but sometimes facts and home truths are all thick fans respond to. Anyone we want from Norwich, with the right amount of money, we'll get. If we both bid for Kyle Naughton, he'll be in a Villa kit next season, you have had one season of finishing 12th, outside the Norwich bubble in East Anglia nobody gives a ****. Accept your role in football, embrace the great times you had with Lambert, and whilst nobody expects you to like him at least appreciate what he's done rather than suggesting desperate points or reasons why his rebuild may not work. Back your new manager, if you channeled as much effort and passion into that as you do into moaning about Villa then maybe you might just recover and continue to do fine.

I can't predict the future, but in a couple of years 99/100 neutrals will expect to see Villa in this league. I reckon a quarter at best would say the same of you. This season will put you in your place. See where we both finish, see what we both invest, compare the quality and stature of who we bring in, and review it at the end. Then you will see why Lambert was completely right to grasp the chance as openly and enthusiastically as he did.

While this is harsh reading, take solace from the fact it does happen to everyone. If under any unlikely circumstances Man City wanted Lambert in the future, I think all our fans would agree he'd more than likely take it.Footballs a bit shit like that. I know full well i'll react v.differently to the sad cases on your forums. Didn't see me on Sunderland forums when they were boning over Martin O'Neill, I wasn't irritating them by letting them know about his awful financial mismanagement and non-existent scouting system, because fans learn things for themselves and form their own opinions via what happens at their OWN club, not based on the bitter ramblings of the club the manager doesn't give a dam about anymore.

Now **** off, grow up, and support Chris Hughton, to avoid me ever having to be such a superior rocket polisher again.

    Well said. **** off Wiz.

  8. Welbeck and Young certainly troubled France. They need to start the next game.

I was impressed with Welbeck too, definite starter for the next game.

The referee was useless. Cabaye could have gone in the book on at least 4 occasions, but didnt get booked once, yet he reaches straight for a yellow if its an England player.

Good result and a solid performance, think we'll get the results we need to see us through.

  9. hope england get slaughtered, its annoying me already.

I assume you're not English

I think we'll lose this one 3-1. Think we will get an early goal too but we'll just crumble.

lol i am, i am proud to be english, i just don`t like the football team or the f.a.

I think once we lose a goal this lot will completely fold and hodgson will get murdered by the british press. Wouldn`t suprise me to see a few of the players back chatting the manager and turning on him either.

    It`s just a circus.

Same as me. I get slated for it but I know a lot of season ticket holders at Villa couldn't give a shit about England.

Terry is a word removed, Glen Johnson is busy stealing from B & Q. Gerrard starts bar fights.

I dislike most the England set up. I support England in every other sport because I like the players on the team, these lot are rocket polishers and it gives me pleasure watching them lose.

How can you take pleasure from watching us lose? Whilst some of our players are arseholes off the pitch, i'll agree with you on that, wanting us to lose is over the top.

  10. The BF3 DLC is a bit rubbish. It sounds like one of the DLC packages was for single player, and as a single player game it sucks. It's meant to be played multiplayer.

I was going to purchase BF3 Premium but really unsure now, especially as the PC gamers have to wait a week on the PS3? DICE said that the PC would be the "leading platform"... doesn't seem that way.

Oh well.... I'm hoping FIFA is good.

I thought it was all multiplayer content?

  11. EA have announced the next NFS game, they'll be showing that, and good news is that Criterion will be making it, so high hopes as Hot Pursuit was really good.

Hopefully we'll see some more of GTA. I'd also like to see another Killzone as my PS3 is gathering dust.
