  1. Midnight launch was a bit of a damp squib - sold about 20, 25 copies.
Could also be because CoD is out in less than 2 weeks. I want to get this, but I don't feel like parting with £80+ over the next 2 weeks.

I'll get it after christmas probably, heard only positive things from the online side.

That, aswell as the fact there is no point going to a midnight launch when you can get it cheaper and a day early on the internet.

If i was going to buy on the high street, HMV usually do the best deals, trade in one of a select list, and get new game for as low as 99p.

Hopefully HMV will do a deal on MW3 aswell, as its upto £50 on ShopTo now, which i'm not paying, and i don't want to risk it not arriving on release day with anyone else.

On Battlefield, the multiplayer is really good, although they need to get rid of the flash light gun attachment, as its never dark enough to warrant using it, and people just use it to blind you up close.

  2. Its the same with any national sport, the media and 70% of the public got some sick pleasure out of seeing us lose and get knocked out of competitions. Every major tournement turns into a **** witch-hunt, just so that people can say "i told you so...look, we're shite!".

I wouldnt blame the players of rugby or football national teams if leading upto and during every major event they introduced a media blackout.

I've been thinking exactly the same, the media in this country are words removed, it's as if they want to see us crash and burn, but that doesnt matter, whatever sells their paper i suppose.

That incident in the bar involving Mike Tindall was such a non event, got blown all out of proportion.

  3. I like them, extra incentive to go back and play games again to try and mop up those that you missed. I've never got all the achievements on any game, or got a platinum trophy, but i've come close.

The one that took the most work for me, was in Burnout Paradise, the one you're awarded with when you've completed all the events and received your Burnout Paradise licence. It's only 60G, but it takes some time because there are a lot of events to work your way through, good game though.

The most ridiculous achievement i've come across was in the Simpsons game, you get 5G, for pressing start to begin the game!

  4. To be fair to him, the likes of Messi and Ronaldo didn't have Reo-Coker or Muamba ahead of him when they were trying to break through.

reo coker and muamba are completely different types of player to davies

They play in the same position, so they're currently keeping Davies out of the team. That and the fact he's shit.

muamba and reo coker are defensive or box to box midfielders, davies is an attacking midfielder

they may be different types of midfield, but they play in the same position, so nrc and muamba are keeping davies out of the team, which doesnt support your claim of him being superb.

  6. Only when you decided to spare us the usual bullshit about shit players being superb, and genuinely good ones, being overrated.

Oi that Mark Davies is a top class player and so good he cant get into bottom of table Bolton team

i think he is a superb player who will mature into 1 of the best in the business

  7. he will be 10x the player john terry is imo

    Slight exaggeration there mate

He'd probably have ethan moore in the England side aswell if he had chance.

If you want to know how good a player actually is, its usually the opposite of what SGC thinks

SGC thinks Shay Given is overrated, but he's one of the best keepers in the premiership.

SGC thinks ethan moore is better than messi, when he's crap and will be lucky if he's still playing professional football in the a few years.

give it a rest CBV you muppet

Only when you decided to spare us the usual bullshit about shit players being superb, and genuinely good ones, being overrated.

Anymore pearls of wisdom for us tonight?

  8. By the time it comes to sale im sure the game will be completely different to what your playing now.

It wont be completely different though Rich. The bugs will have all been ironed out for sure, but the core game will remain the same. Which is worrying, because its a bit shit to be honest.

Why is it shit Stu? What do you find boring about it?

I ask because im a BF virgin.

Just buy it mate. You like COD, chances are, you'll like this. I think the single player alone warrants buying it, looks the bollocks. The game already looks and sounds really good. The multiplayer will also be better with the full game, more maps, weapons, game modes etc. I think it's a welcome change of pace, rather than the usual 100mph gameplay in COD.
