  1. Can only see one possible candidate for the job when i look through the contenders.

Rodgers - holding out for a better offer imo

Martinez - too risky incase he rejects us again

Clark - seriously overrated by some on here, so good he had Jordan Rhodes on the bench for several games at Huddersfield and played 4-5-1 instead

Mccarthy - need i say anything?

This leaves Lambert, the man we need

Martinez would be silly to reject us again, but if he did, so be it, i wouldn't not approach him just in case we look a bit silly in the press if he knocks us back again, **** the media. He's the best of the realistic candidates if you ask me, and he'd get us playing football again.

  2. Next manager odds are in from Victor Chandler and Stan James:

Martinez is 2/1, Lambert 3/1, Neil Lennon 10/1, Curbishley 12/1, and for some odd reason Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is 14/1

Curbishley's name always pops up - he's shit, what an uninspiring choice he would be.

    Has to be Martinez.

The Sunday Times appear to have Martinez earmarked for Liverpool, one of the slightly more attractive jobs likely to be on the market this summer.

They won't get rid of King Kenny, surely? :)

  3. He's spent a lot of time out wide this year, and has chipped in with some valuable assists, but i agree with briny in that things have gone a bit stale, and maybe he needs a move away, although can't help thinking aswell, that with a new manager, someone like Martinez, who gets his sides playing football, he'd be back in the goals again.

  4. Oh and didn't Martinez turn us down once already and you guys want to go back on all fours to him

    Behave

although this may come as a bit of a shock as you dont see much of it in football these days, he wanted to show a bit of loyalty to his chairman, which is fair enough.

Martinez and Lambert are good young managers, who given some money to rebuild the side, and time, would get us climbing the table again. preferably Martinez though, get us playing football again.

  5. Castlebrom, that was banter by the way!! Not serious

As per manager I really think we need to raise the bar / profile and give the whole club and city a lift

For me that's a big hitter who can take the club by the scruff of the neck and reenergise Lerner

Scholari, Cappelo , Rijkaard, Koemann, Klinsmann possibly Van Basten or Bilic

we've got no chance of convincing any of them to join us. nice one.

  6. CI was calling for Fat Sam at one point

he posts whatever will create the biggest reaction

No I don't, Castle Brom is a wanky bluenose shit heap

    thanks.

maybe you'd like to tell us who you'd like as manager aswell, seeing as the likes of Lambert and Martinez fall short?

  7. You'd be better off just not going to the games at all, you'll save yourself money, and it'll hit Lerner where it hurts, forcing him to take notice, as he doesnt seem too bothered at the moment. Why anyone would want to set foot in VP at the minute with AM in charge, i don't know, we're going no where, and the football is dire.

I'm a season ticket holder, so that would be pointless. Going to Villa park is something I look forward to every week. I don't enjoy the football we're playing, but I enjoy singing, chanting and getting behind the boys. So my way of protesting against our manager is by chanting, your way is by not coming. We have different ways of doing the same thing.

Whilst its good you still go down, i don't why you'd want to renew - we're going no where with AM in charge, we can't win games, football is dire, RL doesnt seem to be bothered, offers nice gestures of free travel every so often hoping it'll keep us quiet, but we never hear from him, half the players dont seem bothered, and its expensive.

Thankfully, my decision not to renew coincided with MON leaving, so i've missed all this rubbish.

  8. If the game wasnt played by so many complete words removed, the dev's wouldnt have to worry about it.

I've ditched MW3, gone back to MW2, but it's just as bad, probably my favourite COD at its peak, and i was hoping all the clearings in the woods would have left, but its still heaving with quickscopers and campers.

They don't play as a team and they look like they go out there and have no idea. I don't think Villa have an identity. They don't attack with any pace."

From the BBC live text - trying to sound as if he knows what he's talking about - no identity? word removed.

Savage is clearly talking hit as we definitely do have an identity. Everyone knows we're a dour, toothless team that try to defend the 0-0 from the kick off!

I can't see us getting anything either, the problem is our negative manager, and overpaid/underperforming players, but no identity, i don't think he even knows what means, nothing but hot air comes out of that clearings in the woods mouth, like Phil Thompson on SSN.
