I said earlier this weekend Villa needed to learn to run at their own pace and not worry about those behind them.
I also said I thought this lineup was designed to "first to 6 goals wins."
Everyone, that was a team in the second half that ran its own race and did not care one whit about anyone or anything else. And a clean sheet with that lineup?
There is a reason I am a lawyer, and Unai Emery is a football manager. We have a maximum of 15 points from the top 3 teams, and we have secured 9. That is outstanding stuff, with or without a European campaign (for the first time in well over a decade) as well.
You can talk about Ange all day. You can give him whatever shampoo bottle looking trophy for manager of the year. I don't care, it does not matter.
Unai Emery has shown the league he has the skill to pants the top 2 clubs, at home, and also away, making do with his teams with their injury situations. That second half performance was handcuffs. Arteta didn't get beat, he got taught.
If I were Lille, I'd be very concerned this same XI are coming to my town in a few days, because they appear to not care about hostile crowds, or possession tactics. But they do know how to run.
The guy is a chancer.. they’ll soon get bored of him

Yeah Arsenal, City, Ath Madrid and us all going through.
What’s the most points that Leverkusen can get from the semi final onwards?

Score predictions for the game?

Are there LIKELY circumstances where this UEFA coefficient is decided in England’s favour next week?

Not expecting anything here at all. Think Arsenal beat us comfortably.
They'll just kill our midfield, can't see us getting much of a grip on the game. Keep it close and don't make it another Man City score and I reckon that'll be ok for us.
Even the Man City score wouldn’t be too disastrous.. that’ll be two of our 3 hardest games gone and still level on points with Spurs. They’ve still got to play all 3 of their hardest games…

Man City and Arsenal go through next week and 5th placed Champions league is back on the table.

I think we should be apologising to you for playing at such antisocial hours for New Zealanders.
My wife moans that I watch them live and I’m always tired.. She did ask if they could change the kick off time to a more convenient time…. I’ve emailed the premier league but have not received a reply as yet.

Newcastle are no threat whatsoever, they're ten points behind with only twelve points to play for, if it was the other way around and we were ten points behind them with four games left, not one person would be suggesting that we could catch them. The only team that are a threat to us are Spurs
18 left to play for?

They’re playing those games at some pretty crazy times as well! I do miss the time when all matches started at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon.
Sorry… based on NZ

Would it be a bad thing, if we… you know… exited the Europa conference? Is the opportunity to focus on champs league not far greater overall?
3 games away from a European final… yes, it would be a bad thing…

If you tell me after the match tomorrow we would still be 4th, whatever the result I'd take it.
Lose by two or more goals and we’re back to 5th

Well if people think we'll beat Arsenal then it seems a bit counter productive panicking about Man. United or Newcastle having any chance of catching us.
Win tomorrow and we're back massively in the driving seat for 4th although I would be very surprised.
Yeah, sorry man… tongue in cheek.. I’d be surprised if we get anything tomorrow but you never know..

I can see Newcastle Palace being a nailed on 1-1. Man. United will probably troll their entire fanbase and beat Newcastle 3-0 at Old Trafford just when top 4/5 dosen't matter.
Newcastle drop just five points in the run in and they can only finish on 63 points which gives an indication of how remote it is they finish above us.
Actually next weekend we have the chance of going 13 points clear of both as their game is off with the FA cup so let's not mess it up.
You mean 16 points clear?

Newcastle have four of their last 6 away from home.. their firm there isn’t as good as their home form…
We get 6 more points then both United or Newcastle have to win every game pretty much…
We just need to get 6 more points..

Man U have won 1 in 7, yet they’re likely to get 4 more wins to overtake us?

Do we have a good record v Bournemouth?

Newcastle have got 13 points from their last 6 games… that’s some form…
