I never doubted it for a second...
Also , who is on tables 1 and 2 if Emery only makes table 3?

Callum Chambers would play a pivotal role?
I'm surprised that he wasn't in the Conference League squad...

Can we close this thread off tomorrow please?

I thought it unlikely tjat Spurs would lose all 4 of their tough games... they've lost 3 of them, hopefully its irrelevant but i'm hoping its 4 from 4..

It will make a difference because the players will sense the weird atmosphere. They might want to win but if/when they fall behind they certainly won’t feel the same push to get back in the game.
Also after Ange basically said he wants to replace the entire team over the next few years after Chelsea I very much doubt those players he didn’t buy are going to push themselves to get champions league football for him.

I agree. They will be top 4. This year is the year to get CL. Will be more difficult next year.
Liverpool might drop off?

Very true, for the vast majority of players it is just a job that they are very good at and very fortunate that the pay for that job is pretty good...
Some of them aren't very good at it and still get paid loads...

If we can get at least a draw against Liverpool it would put the pressure on Spurs to have to beat City...
Failing that, a narrow loss say by 1 goal...

Poll from spurs fanzine sees about 60% of fans preferring a loss to city to prevent Arsenal winning league even if it secures them 4th. However many say if Man Utd beat Arsenal Sunday then they should go all out to secure 4th.
The players will be wanting to win regardless of what the fans want... hopefully it's irrelevant for our season

Have we only lost three times at home in the league this season?

Burnley actually looked pretty good for about 60 minutes. Then Spurs made wholesale changes and Burnley turned into a league 1 team.
So City shouldn't have any trouble against them?

Did anyone actually watch the Burnley game? It was on at 2am here so I surprisingly didn't bother... Did the 2-1 flatter Burnley? If not then I don't think an in-form City will struggle against a Spurs side that just sneaked past Burnley..

With Spurs only beating Burnley by 1 goal, it probably means that they have to beat Man City to overtake us. A draw may not be enough IF we lose both of our games by the odd goal. Of course, getting a draw against Liverpool means Spurs have to get a win v City. I think they could surprise City with a draw but i’d not be confident in backing a victory over them. City have been poor away to Spurs recently but none of these games were this close to the end of the season with the title on the line AND none of those games were managed by a gung-ho manager… Angeball will totally suit Pepball

Why did Spurs have their walk around the pitch applauding fans today… was it because this was their scheduled last home game and the one midweek is a postponed game?

It's not really 5 out as zaniolo and lenglet were bought in only to replace mings and emi who were probably were covered by insurance.
They will simply swap squad places.
are Sanson and Hause still on the books?

If even one of those players starts, we are in serious trouble. Not one of them is remotely good enough.
We really need this season to end or we will be fielding thr under 9's before long.
I'm waiting for the inevitable phonecall for me to get my boots out...

We probably have to play two up top and Chambers as the holding midfielder
-
It was posted on the forum under the prematch Liverpool. I mean it's not really a surprise, he's clearly injured to some extent due to the strapping on his leg...
