  1. We didn’t pass with urgency and we didn’t offer a passing option in space near the man with the ball.

one example was we attacked down the right near the end of the game and McGinn was walking and Bailey had to make a 25 yard pass back to him.

they either all have covid or really cannot be arsed playing the game at the moment.

For a guy that has done little so far

    Apps         Minutes             Goals                            Assists
    Premier League 4(6) 443 1 2

EDIT: I am aware he has not scored 443 goals :P

An assist or goal every 147 minutes. If he played every game he’d have 23 goals+assists in a season.

also as a sub coming on how much time is he getting in that 443 which makes a difference?

Gerrard should be able to look at opposition, look at our squad and make it work.

I'd keep Watkins and Ings, maybe add one. loan Archer out and sell the other two.

Thanks to Ben Mee, I'm afraid Wesley will never be what he was when he arrived and we need to let him go.

I think Davis might develop into a Premier league striker, but he needs to play in order to do that and we should probably let him go for his own good.

I'm not quite convinced that Archer will be a Premier League striker at the level we're after - although he has a chance of proving me wrong, he's already much better this season than I thought he had in him, another loan would prove it one way or the other.

    Agree with this,

archer for 2022/23 though will be with us. His loan at Preston could decide that if he batters the championship.

No point in waiting if he’s smashed double figures by the end of the season for them.

  4. A lot of Watkins goals comes from counter attacks with space or balls in early.

for me he’s in the same issue boat as Lukaku at Chelsea.

the best strikers can deal with tough, quick balls into the box early.

Another example is Vardy, if you don’t commit to giving him the ball early (a risk) you’re not going to get the best out of him and he won’t be scoring shed loads of goals.

Watkins is tall, strong and holds the ball up incredibly well.

we need to be better at utilising him tbh.

You literally asked what Barry had shown at 18 compared to Archer to say he's better and got a list of things.

At the moment yes Archer is better but is 2 years older. At 18 Batry had accomplished a lot more. Last season Archer had a failed loan at Solihull Moors, Barry had half a failed loan at Ipswich.

Obviously Archer is better at the moment but is 2 years older. That's the entire point. We'd have all written Archer for after doing nothing at Solihull, so let's not make the same mistake with Barry just because we're expecting a lot from him

Barry got loaned to a rubbish side with an even rubbish manager who didn’t play him and then got sacked for being rubbish.

Also Barry (I believe) was out with an injury for a while.

I would not lay much blame on that failure with Barry tbh.

  6. Got a brand new build. Gas isn’t as bad as electric but as we know the UK electricity grid has huge swathes of gas generating the electricity for it.

that means you’re going to be using it whatever.

Bill was £80 a month, April to April 2022/3 will be £190 for the SAME usage.

regardless of what you use, there’s absolutely no way usage can come down by over 50% in a household.

Smart enabled gear all switches off through Alexa.

plus I’ve worked from home until past few months, even returning to the office two days a week (and house all switched off) bill has still skyrocketed.

the government simply inept at managing public  finances, they’ve made the Labour PFI scandal of the early 00s seem like Fagin from Oliver Twist compared to this.

UHCW Hospital in Coventry was PFI and even with that cost £3.5bn with their contract. This government wrote off over two mega hospitals from PPE wastage at a flick of a pen.

they can easily fund the energy crisis, they just can’t be arsed. It’s really that simple.
