Yes, I think sneaking him in is a recipe for disaster hence why reporting he was heading there was a good thing for all.

Sounds odd but It would not be fair on Russia to not let them know of the visit.

Even if accidental,  it would be the end for them by accident and down to one person firing a lucky drone or similar.

Yep, given the risk averse nature of the US towards presidential visits, this is huge and a big FU to Putin that they felt safe in letting him visit. The timing is also imprtant as it runs up to the anniverary of the large scale invasion by RUssia

Totally agree,  must be a rare type visit for a serving Pres.
It's getting worse for Putin,  It feels like they are happy to grind Putin down over time and this sort of stuff is just humiliating for him.

to combine CGI with live action.

I'm pretty sure it can be done well if given the love and time a film deserves, but I suspect these films are rushed out and they probably have re-shoots as the story doesn't make sense or similar.

Then they put it out on the date no matter what state it is in.

In 2023,  the CGI perfection should be a given I would have thought but it's quantity that is important for Marvel IMO.

If this is the 'great offensive'

I think they expected to pin and get Vuhledar, they threw loads at this target and actually lost a really good place by the river.

The way it panned out over the last month,  for the amount Russians dead,  it's like Ukraine gave them the space to move into and then destroyed them and took it back.

Let's see what happens as there is a rotation of newly trained Ukraine troops behind Vuhledar, on the way.

1 motivated, kitted up and NATO trained soldier, properly supported is probably worth 5 of these Russians troops at the moment.

Even if your only ever combat training was playing Call of Duty for 1000 hours,  you still wouldn't walk around a "Battlefield" like the Russians,  basic common sense.  Utter madness.

    Vuhledar,

I have been watching this over the last week,  they lost it all again.  Russia look a bit clueless at the moment,  run out of ideas.

This was the master plan of yesterday,  I think there are 14 in the picture.

In a line,  grouped together , no artillery support and no vehicles / tanks.  They all went into 1 building shortly after this.

I don't know the name of the tactic below but it isn't that good.  They did this for 3 days.

What a punch, I always got the feeling Lara was still a danger. Great stoppage, another punch from Lara there Wood could have been in serious trouble.

He was a tad unlucky there,  both landed.  Good stop though,  he was finsihed.

    As an experiment,

It would be super interesting to say to it,  you are Churchill the year is 194*.  What do you do etc.  So build a situation test for it and see what it does historically.

Kills Trump,  Goes to Mars,  makes Floela Benjamin Prime minster.  Would be well interesting.

  8. On the bright side used correctly, there is hopefully no reason that given time it might come up with radical solutions to solve human made problems we hadn't thought of.

    Spoiler

I mean like hunger or war around the world,  not what to do with Putin and a pineapple,  real things that need a new angle of thought.

Don't forget,  we are sort of guiding it ultimately and the bad stuff just gets flagged and then it learns why the bad stuff is bad etc.

this type of film won't disappear with comic books

I am not sure,   it used to make billions,  I don't think the numbers add up anymore.

The (Costs + Promotion & Advertising)  - box office is,  in 2023 not a lot I suspect,  we will see when the numbers come in for the recent releases.  Yes it might be like Romcoms and have a place in cinema for ever,  it might also go the way of Westerns.   There are only so many trains to hold up and people to shoot with a solid story to  hold it up.

It has to be worth it in pure money terms or they will drop it in a second and never look back.

    MCU Spoiler

    Spoiler

There is something about adults in a room saying "Yeah and what about if they can do this and this and they can fly but they are a lawyer, scientist but allergic to flowers but do a lot of charity work" or some nonsense.
It's not a character build,  it's like supermarket shopping at a ability store.
Also, I am no expert but Captain Marvel is now the most powerful super hero of all time (Speed of light / go through space ships) ,  what's left after the speed of light ? & the speed of light is of new use in our galaxy anywhere travel wise.

How can you have a reboot when you have  a existing batman playing batman who is a different actor?

I really don't like super hero type movies,  now and again is fine but not really my thing at all.  However,  I watch reviews and critiques of films where I wouldn't necessarily watch the actual film (EG Captain Marvel / Ms Marvel).  Just to see what they are about etc.

On the question of re-boots etc,  from the outside the MCU / DC seem to be in knots and it looks all over the place from a continuity point of view.

Is the whole thing running out of steam and it actually looks like hard work to (If you are well into these) keep watching each film they produce.  (There are loads of films recently from MCU).

Captain Marvel,  from the outside looking in,  it looks an absolute waste of time.

Boxing has suffered as a sport since the entry of the social media folks and the Mayweather - McGregor ‘fight’.

    All been downhill since then.

Agreed,  I know I am old but it used to be better years ago.  Much better.

I can sort of predict how this is all going to go in the end,  someone will get killed in the ring or a stabbing at a press conference or similar.

You are on the money correct it seems.   I think the products are just rubbish so they try and hide the fact that nobody likes it.

The below is amazing,  almost everyone hates the trailer.  The live action remakes are getting rightly smashed to smithereens.

This might get a reset from corporate 👍 (They do this when it goes to far away from what they want)

Just think of how useful AI would be in medicine? The trying to get a GP appointment. It'll improve the productivity and efficiency

There is no reason why AI can't call for an appointment for you and drop it into your calendar when arranged.

I suspect it would get through the choose 1 for X or choose 2 for Y as they are pretty easy questions.

    No more being on hold.
