I know it's just one result in isolation, but losing 4-0 at home to Spurs was really irresponsible.

Yep, we really bottled that one. We had a huge chance to build a gap on Spurs and we crumbled. Thankfully we made up for it last week with an ‘unexpected’ win.

It’s is an anomaly….i can’t remember anything like that recently.

We threw away a two goal lead at Luton too. Luckily Digne rescued us. It’s not the norm, but it’s definitely not a one off.

A point would be amazing. When was the last time we got at least a point at the Etihad? Has to be 2009 at the latest. Probably more like 2007. Which is crazy.

I seem to remember a 2-0 win, with a Shaun Maloney goal. Must have been circa 2008. We did win there in the League Cup under Lambert. We’re due a bit of luck there.

    Big 4 - £50-70m

    Spurs - £40m

    Chelsea - £40m (related party)

    Newcastle - £30m (related party)

    Aston Villa - £20m

    West Ham - £10m

    Brighton - £8m

    The other 10 - £2-6m

    We’re getting there.

  5. Next week is huge. We need to regain the initiative quickly, which we have done this season  following defeats. Another defeat next week and I get the feeling that the season will drift away. The injuries (and McGinn’s suspension) are killing us. The midfield without Kamara and McGinn (and possibly even Ramsey) looks weak.

  6. At least we’ve learnt to win without him now, albeit not very comfortably. Hopefully another few days recuperation and he’ll be good to go.

That’s not a very long extension really, only 2 years longer than current contract, I was expecting until 2028 or 2029. Hopefully it will be longer than that as rewarding Leon with a big pay increase you’d want a commitment to 4 or 5 years really.

He’ll be down to 12 months this summer I think, so it protects his value from Villa’s point of view.

  8. If it’s £15m then I think that will definitely include some add ons, and probably difficult to reach add ons, considering it was widely reported that Boro were looking for £12m.

Terrible ITK. Still can mean it's not happening, tell me when it's 100%, or most likely it'll be done by then.

I’m fairly confident that he’s a Middlesbrough supporter. He might well have good contacts there.
