Anything below top eight and I will be dissapointed. I think top 6 is beyond us this season unless MON brings in 2/3 excellent defenders.

In the words of Jim Trott:
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!
-
No thanks, he wasn't good enough last time he was here...

Hi General,
I don't think this has been answered yet, can you tell us when the new home kit is to be revealed and put on sale please. I'm waiting to see the home shirt before I decide whether to buy home or away.
Many Thanks

Great to hear from you again General - let's hope your over the worst of it!
-
No - quite simple in this day and age, we don't have enough cash to compete with the very best on a regular basis.
-
Top 6 will be even tougher next season - Tottenham won't give us a 20 point head start and Man City will be a lot closer too - and they don't have the distraction of Europa football...So I say I would be more than happy with 6th again next season.

Hi General,
This isn't a rant about MON or our current form but I just like to pass my opinion over to you (I know you like to pass opinions on to Randy). Basically I think a lot of fans (not just Villa) are becoming bored (for the want of a better word) with the Premier League - the top 4 is a closed shop unless you have hundreds of millions of £'s to spend. It seems we have hit the 'glass ceiling' and are as high as we can go - therefore if we can't win the league, I would love us to win a cup (I've never seen Villa play at Wembley). Can someone please tell MON to take cup competitions seriously next season so we have a chance of some silverware otherwise I don't really see the point of our exsistance.
-
Not as long as a more attack minded replacement was found...
-
MON - He steadied the ship for 2 years spending very little and finished 6th. MON only had serious cash to blow last summer - and now we're 5th, that's progress.
-
The fact this isn't 100% YES astounds me....we should be grateful he's at our club and not elsewhere!
-
For a very split second I forgot the date and believed it!!!! Goddam you!!!

Hi General,
I'm really pleased to hear us entering the Peace Cup in the summer. It just shows how much the profile of the club has increased in europe since Randy took over. I look forward to us taking on some 'giants' of world football like Real Madrid and Juventus, even if they are only friendlies.

Hi General,
There's a lot of unhappy peeps around at the moment but everyone is still behind Randy and MON. I think the frustration comes from a lack of investment in January (we've been there before - leading the table half way through, don't invest and finish 7th). I don't think we will get top 4 this season, but if MON can seriously invest again in the summer and build a much bigger squad, then who knows...keep up the great work!

Hi General,
I was just wondering what was happening with the official site message board because it's been 'under review' for a while now with no sign of it coming back on...
Thanks

I've got a feeling that the squad isn't strong enough and we will fade away a little and finish 5th...

Hi General,
Hope you are well.
I know this is nothing to do with Villa, but we ended up missing today's match because for no apparent reason our train was cancelled without notice. Would Villa look into running a coach from the Cannock area, because this isn't the first time the train has been late/cancelled?
Thanks

Owen for sure - easily the best finisher on the list

General,
Best of luck with your father, and good wishes to your family.
Just a quick thought regarding the club shop. Have we ever thought about selling 'non Villa' items in the club shop? I ask because whenever I buy gifts for people I try and get something from Villa to put back into the club, but a lot of my family don't support Villa, so I can't really get anything for them. Maybe if we sold footballs, t-shirts, and maybe some England merchandise without Villa on, other fans would be catered for and revenune would presumably increase.
Cheers

Hi General,
Just to add to chief_hughesey's point - we also travel from Cannock and usually use public transport to get to matches. I would much rather put some money back into Villa than central trains - so if there was a bus service from the Cannock area, there would definately be 2 more customers for you!!

Hi General,
Just wondered if you could give us an update on the ticket sales for the cup games against QPR and Litex?
Many Thanks

General, further to John's point above, can we expect any surprises for the kit unveiling on Monday? Are you aware if there is anything imminent?
I guess that's a no - from the OS:

Reo-Coker, Laursen, Carew and Young at the kit unveiling...

Hi General,
I know you don't deal with transfers and you probably won't appreciate me asking this, but can you indicate whether or not we are 'close' to any deals (by close I mean complete within the next week or so). I know there are still 3 weeks until the first game and a lot can happen in that time, but can you give us an indication of how things are going please.
Many Thanks

Woeful, Inept, Clueless and that's just MON. Sort it out FFS - you've had all summer!! We lost to the better team (I was very impressed by Wigan) but we were truly awful. Our team cost around £60m+ today, Wigan cost about £20m (ish). MON has spent cash very badly and needs to sort it out. Imagine what David Moyes could do here with some serious cash...
