He looked good at the World Cup from what I remember. With Emery coaching him he could only improve. 

I guess we’d get £3m-£4m plus a sell on clause.

Great start to the window. A top class central midfielder for free. I know he lost his way last season, but Emery likes a ‘project’. 

I guess we can start a thread now…

Emery does have a history of taking under performing players and making them better. He doesn’t usually sign the finished articles.

I’d trust Unai to improve any player. If Unai wants him, that’s enough for me. 

Osasuna have won and finished 7th. That’s good for us, right? 

Slightly off topic, but buying clubs will know the Chelsea are desperate to raise funds. Might be one or two bargains to be had if clubs don’t rush in. 

I think we need to consolidate and show that this season wasn’t a fluke. I think we should be aiming for top 8 again, and hopefully some nice cup runs.

It seems like a no-brainer for Luton to make this move permanent. I do wonder if they’ll go for Keinan Davis too? Edwards worked with/signed him at Watford, and he plays quite physically. Might be a good double deal for both Villa and Luton.

I guess that Spain will be our target audience for most signings this summer. I presume NSWE don’t want the original quotes to be the narrative over there. 

Disappointing news, but he clearly wasn’t going to be ‘all in’. He was coming for the money. We move on.

I just want us to win a trophy. Any trophy. The Conference League gives us the best chance to do that. It’s been far too long and maybe we could use it as a stepping stone to bigger things. Also I don’t think The Conference League would be as disruptive to our league campaign because you could get away with resting players until the latter stages. 

Got to beat Spurs now to stand any chance. Looking difficult. 

If we get £20m for an academy product it will give us massive wiggle room with FFP. I can see this happening if Boro get promoted. 

Can’t see this happening, but interesting none the less. 

Never a free kick, but we’re still too soft. Need to find a killer instinct next season.
