The equaliser was coming. We’ve just sat back since taking the lead. Disappointing really because we could have scored more.
-
We seem to be ramping up these agreements now. It’s too bad that we won’t see any benefit for a few years yet.
-
We’re a bit powder puff away from home this season. I’m sure Emery knows best, but maybe a more pragmatic approach would suit us better.

I wonder if there is a female Unai Emery out there somewhere!?
To be fair, Unai could probably do it as an evening job.

Doesn’t really inspire much confidence with some of her answers. The start has been dreadful, but I’d say she’s still got plenty credit in the bank to get the chance to turn things around.

We look a shadow of the team from last season. No cohesion at all.

I worry a bit about future recruitment to the academy when it is shown that it is a giant revenue-raising exercise and there is little chance you will get to play for the seniors.
Or perhaps the players already know this and see it as part of their overall development.
We’re never going to have a team full of academy players. If you can get a first team player every 18 to 24 months then the academy has done its job. Most players will know how hard to make it as a professional footballer. We will attract more top youngsters if we keep producing players for Premier League and Championship teams.

I like it. Not looking too desperate. Bet they can’t wait to accept a bid really.

I guess we’re waiting until we’ve played Burnley. We’d look a bit stupid if he scored on his debut against us.
Or maybe not

He has to be signed by 12pm to be available for Sunday. But even if we announce it after 12pm, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t registered before 12.

We need to be realistic here. Our 2 first choice left sided midfielders (Ramsey and Buendia) are both injured. Ramsey should be back in about a month. We’re not spunking £30m+ on someone that will most likely be for cover. A loan with an option to buy is as near risk free as we’re going to find.

It’s such a shame that he can’t be eased in gently now. The same as Moreno back when he was thrown in early for his debut when Digne limped off after about 15 minutes. I doubt there’s another team with such bad luck with injuries.
-
£12m seems very low. The only reason I can see for this is that the buyback clause is pretty low too (£20m?). Seems a bizarre transfer unless we are very close to FFP limits.
-
We’re close to agreeing a deal for Aaron Ramsey to join Burnley according to Alan Nixon. I don’t pay for his patron, so not sure if it’s a permanent or a loan. I really hope it’s a loan.
So it’s a £12m permanent with a buy back apparently.

We need our heads checking if we go anywhere near mckennie.
On loan with an option to buy would be ok I guess. Emery must see something in him.

Hopefully they don't take us to the cleaners like they did with the last player we bought from them.
We’ve got a much better negotiator on the case this time.

I can’t imagine that Nakamba is on massive money (£40k per week would be my best guess). If they aren’t willing to do that for someone that was instrumental in getting them a £150m+ windfall, then they deserve to go back down again. The fee won’t be big (£4m-£5m) either.

The work will start after the 27th of june then, 6 weeks after our last home game. Is A concert worth it?
If it’s going to take 2 years then 6 weeks doesn’t really matter that much.
