Luke Young has been excellent for us since he came but I also think Beye has done well and I wouldn't be suprised if Luke doesn't come straight in. Can't understand the people slagging Beye off as I think he's a really good player that has done a good job there.

I have voted for a good window. Strengthened where we needed to and we go into the first half of the season with a very capable squad with no 'holes' in it. I'm also a fan of blooding a few of the youngsters when we are able, which Martin seems to support.

In fact it's so bad I'm gonna turn this shit off and go do something less boring instead.

I'm thinking it could be -5. Moore Sorensen Mellberg Cahill Berger If these leave in this window then O'Neil would have to sign around 8 players in 8 days to have significantly upped the numbers. I don't see it happening. Whatever happens I now have a feeling it will be a net negative number of signings. -2 something like that. If we start the second half of the season with less players than the first half questions really need to be raised about competence. If Mellberg signs a pre-contract with Juve and either goes early or more likely is dropped we are well and truly in the shit without a replacement right back. Gardner is not good enough as right back to cover. Still not long left to wait ..

I expect one first teamer, a quality right back. I would like a second first teamer at right mid but would settle for a young upcoming right mid who we could bring on. I would like a quality centre forward but do not expect one. I would be unhappy if we didn't get a quality right back in with no explanations as to why we are finding this so difficult. To bring in no one would be a failure of the manager in the transfer window, in my opinion. This to me would signal the need for the manager to hand the actual getting of players over to a third party after he identifies his targets. Having said that I admit to being completely unqualified to make the above statements, this is just my layman view.

Number 3 for me. This is who we are, this is what we have won.

I have voted never because I feel it should be free to season ticket holders or fans with a proven ticket record (you know bought so many during the season). Football is an expensive hobby, add up how much momey you spend in the ground and on merchandise on top of your season ticket (x2 in my case) and that's a hell of a lot of cash I spend on the club. Maybe an idea would be to give season ticket holders a villa specific credit card that can only be used in club outlets (food at VP/merchandise from Villa shop/Away tickets/extra tickets etc). You then get rewards based on how much you have spent on the card, free AVTV being one of the rewards. Well just an idea.. EDIT - I know they do a normal villa credit card but the card is not villa specific nor are the rewards. Just like any other credit card really just with a villa badge on it.

Suspect the reason Marc Albrighton wasn't in the team might have had something to do with his call up to the England U19 squad. He was an unused sub in last nights game v Belarus.
