  1. At that age we should stick with Eric lichaj...
  2. No mention of compensation on the OS...could be 3 of the best 'free transfers' we've ever made!
  3. I thought we were in for Clyne at palace? Maybe Gunter is plan B? Kyle naughton had a decent season at Norwich and pl obviously saw him at close quarters, but there does not seem to be millions between the potential of the 3 rb's being mentioned. Not to mention we already have a pretty decent young rb on our books already.

    God

Any Irish villans based in Dublin, I have some comp tickets through work to the red cow for the Ireland v Italy match where God will be in attendance along with a couple of other ex Ireland players (I heard houghton will be there too) Pm me if you want a ticket or two.
  5. collins in doing my head in with his hollywood passes, keep it simple and on the ground ffs
  6. Cant understand the negativity, fulham should be put to the sword today, a decent premier league team and will have slightly better fitness that us, but we have more quality in every position. (how many fulham players would walk into our 1st team?) and i think mcleish will have the players wound right up for today 2-0 Villa (Bent , Collins to score) Given Young - Collins - Dunne - Warnock Petrov - Makoun - Delph Agbonlahor - Bent - Nzogbia subs: Guzan, ireland, heskey, albrighton, bannan, clark,Gardner

Petrov got turned and didnt try and get back at his m an and alan picked his spot
  11. based on this and blackburn game think we need to sort midfield out...defence i think will be ok and i think warnock has been player of tournament for us, strikers need service, which we have not provided. For me Bannan has showed he has the class to keep the ball at this level and will put pressure on ireland at top on centre midfield, makoun is a def starter for me. Albrighton had a poor tournament as did delfouneso. Ireland poor today but ball was travelling 60 yards over his head so will give him benefit of doubt. based on preseason so far starting 11 for Fulham has to be Given Young:::Collins:::Dunne::Warnock N'Zogbia::Delph::Makoun::Ireland::Heskey Bent worried about DM role, but delph i think has capability to do it as well as Reo did but can also pass a ball after winning it. we do need a proper DM though (i wonder how fit hargreaves is??)

For those who criticise makoun...any coincidence that since he came on the midfield has had a tempo to it and has been able to move forward...seesm the players trust him to dictate the play whereas with other they seem to want to bypass them...think he will have a good season. been impressed by gardner as well, gets stuck in and looks like he has a bit about him

midfield is looking much more progrssive with makoun and gardner...oh bent should have scored then
  16. great stuff....what a ball by Ireland for 1st goal...bent should have buried his chance for hattrick...good nights work!!!
  17. I just dont understand all this...In order to be successful we need to be unified and whatever happens this appointment (if it goes ahead, we are only interviewing afterall) will not unify the fasit will alienate a big proportion of them, image 1st game of the season and those that turned up turn on mcleish and the players if we go one down, that will set the tone for the whole season. I know Randy has high regard and respect for Mcleish, he has mentioned it before, but he needs to balance the business decision with a football decision for the benefit and future of the club. i really dont know what to think about this, my head is telling me Randy is performing due diligence and interviewing a potential candidate..nothing more nothing less...i would expect he is/has done the same with half a dozen candidates. Either that or he is managig te expectations of the fans....RL:"Fancy Mark Hughes?"....Fans:"erm, not sure, ancelotti is free, so no thanks" RL:"ok lets get mcleish then"....Fans:"wait! hughes would be great"
