The set piece part is something i agree with, one of the 3 cb`s on the park doesn`t go forward for corners so we don`t even benefit from that in the attacking sense.

I still think we lack quality at times in central midfield, maybe more so with the way we play rather than the personnel in there. No good having a top striker if the quality of balls isn't good enough as the second half showed yesterday.

We do lack having more play through the middle. A CM and Striker for me.

Delph can tackle but gets to carried away. It was his tackle that set up our attack for the goal against Manure. I don't agree with him as a DM though, more to offer going forward than that.

I agree wit hthis, he can tackle he just gets a bit carried away sometimes. He won the ball back a few times against Manure. He does however have too much to offer going forward to be stuck at the back.

Probably a bit of both AVFC-pob, i don`t think we will see the best of him again now. He`ll be gone in the summer and we need to find a different type of striker to replace him. Someone with clever movement so we can use Milners vision to create chances on the floor and through the middle.

My fitness it still shit. Really should do more running etc...haven't completed a game all season, basically cramp up about 70 minutes....although I don't eat right before a game either.

I don't even run much in the game. I'm just lazy. Oh well. Damage is done by the time I get cramp.

Its been taken very seriously, look at the poll. Our team has improved quickly and we are going on current form. Its not a slant at Laursen but we didn`t have anywhere near the best defence in the league when he was here (I know we have a better GK and full backs now).

Terrible news for Gary, hes been doing so well too, that will set him back a bit.

I didn't think i would ever have said this but there is a chance that on this seasons form Dunney is actually better than Laursen. I bet they could have played together, what a pair that would have been.

I went for Blackburn purely because we scored 6 goals at home in a semi. The Tranmere one was probably better all round buy hey, Blackburn was yesterday :winkold:

Cuellar has played RB recently for one reason and one reason only - to counter Blackburn's height and their threat from set pieces

It has to be Cuellar and Dunne for me, they did really well together. Young has to play rb, hes by far our best player there. Collins has done pretty well but hasn`t been quite as good since he came back from his injury imo.

I went for Milner and im over the moon.

There's no way the same team should have played 3 times in under a week. Not even starting L.Young for one of those 3 or giving Petrov a rest? Seems very odd to me. I can't see him resting any before the final if I'm honest.

Yes i think he will be he has a very similar range of attributes. He could even be a touch better at the same age, he has played more games as far as i know.

The negativity doesn't for me come down to our performance, it was okay really, another day we might of won the game 2/3-0 but it was the lack of susbsitutions to try and find the goal. Although we had good chances, we weren't creating them regularely and it was a sense of "goal coming". I just don't know why we didn't try anything. Delph on, Delfouneso on etc...

This too for me, my main frustration is the lack of trying something else. yes some of the players didn`t play wonderfully but we did put them on the back foot. When the goals not coming you do have to try something else to make it come.

collins to be was really really poor he made so many mistakes and we are lucky we didnt get punished today. i still say that he is our weakest cb out of the four. ashley youngs crossing was so dire today.

and gabbys gone back to his january til end of season dire finishing. he should have won it and was so poor for that effort in last minute. had that been defoe he would ahve buried that and won the 3 points. we wont qualify for top four unless mon gets a top class striker with proving scoring

What, like he did so many times against Hull yesterday? Granted it was a poor finish, the should've just hit it first time.

Thats it, the main difference about us today and Spurs yesterday was that the Hull GK had to make a hat full of top class saves. Green didn`t have to make many at all today.

P.S I agree Heskey is better than Carew.
