He could have got things right here.
All he needed was another preseason.
Shudder.
I backed him with a pre-season, but then I'm an eternal optimist.
And then that first game of the season with Ollie and Ty dropped? Speechless.
The worst manager and the worst character we've ever had in my lifetime as a Villa fan. (I'm 151 years old).

Correct, yes.
Whose dropping out if 6th / 7th?

Actually think Chelsea are fairly decent now.
Fully expect them to finish in the top 7 - possibly 6th.
Top seven this season?

Battered us in the cup, where was that Chelsea!
That was more on us being below par than them being good, (in my opinion).

Chelsea are absolutely rubbish.
They are so far behind the best of the league, with how much they've spent, it's unreal.

He still has an absolute clanger in him. Can’t concentrate for 90
As do most players. Martinez, Kamara Torres to name but three.

I dont for sure, no one will, that's the thing with contract law, it can work however villa and hull agree it to work
And there's hardly any precedent for it in English football
And at @duke313 not a normal transfer because under a normal transfer they'd have no obligation to tell us it was accepted or an obligation to accept our bid too but under a match bid clause they would
Exactly my point.
There's not a chance on Terra Firma that Villa would agree to the deal how you structure it.
A significant reason for those sales last summer was, as Monchi and Emery stayed, retaining "control" if the player. Mutually agreed buy back few allows this.
PSG could invest all their saved Mbappe wages in Hull, but Villa's agreed buyback clause is the only fee we would have to pay.

If Hull accept an offer from someone for let's say £25m then villa would have the option to match it and if we did then they would automatically have to accept our bid too
Anything hull accept we can match and it is also accepted
What I don't know then is if he has a contract already agreed with villa should that scenario happen
How do you know this?

That wouldn't be my understanding of it at all!
We would have a match the accepted bid first refusal clause not revert back to the £15m
I don't understand this.
So that's potentially two posts in a row with no understanding.

I don't think we're getting him back from Everton
Is he still there?!

I think our January transfers give us an insight into how the Summer will go.
Young right back brought in, with it clear Emery likes Konsa at right back. I can see Matty Cash being sold.
Young left back brought in, Moreno already been bought by Emery, I can see Digne going.
Same with GK, Gauci in, Olsen out.
Rodgers in - Zaniolo back to Gala.
Wages being saved there are significant - this is smart management, high wages on the core players with less money on players who will earn more in the future, but have a less significant role now.

Just wondering, do season ticket holders get to buy whatever seats are free before the general sale is open? Or are there only certain areas that are available? I'm looking to get Wolves tickets but I'm coming from Canada. Potentially have a friend's partner who is a season ticket holder, that I may ask to grab me a pair. It's been so long since I've been to Villa Park and last time was a pre season friendly against Fiorentina!
A Villa fan in Canada!
Welcome Cyrup Regis.

I’d also argue drawing at home to Sheff Utd is much worse than losing to Wolves at home.
Facts.

Spurs have a greater chance to drop an absolutely honking result out of nowhere. We haven’t had a result as bad as home to wolves all season
Palace and Burnley were very, very close to that.

I've been down this rabbit hole. There is never an answer. Or if there is, it's based on him having a beer when celebrating winning the Champions League.
Absolute nonsense, of course.
