Exactly, and people employed as remote are rightly angry at the suggestion they HAVE to go in to the office now.
The company I left couldn't understand why so many people were annoyed about this. They were in Coleshill originally, moved to Lichfield during Covid with a tiny office to lessen the cost and took on a bunch of WFH from Lichfield. Naturally it worked brilliantly most people worked better from home, but managers started to panic when they realised they are simply not needed and started to want everyone in the office 3 days a week. Coleshill lot mostly left because of the commute. Then they buy a place at the Fort and expect the Lichfield lot to commute, so me and a load of others left.
The one lad I keep in touch with says they've never got more than about 20 staff in the role I did - for the year I was there it was up around 50 while we were allowed to WFH.
Just setting fire to a mass of profits in the name of managers wanting to feel relevant. Madness.

Rewatching Fargo box set, with a view to getting stuck into series 5. I since realised I only watched 1-3 which were brilliant but I am struggling to take to series 4....the one in the 50s with black and Italian gangs...I am up to episode 5 but it just ain't grabbing me.
Without asking for spoilers I hope those who have seen series 5 will recommend it.
I loved seasons 1-3 and started watching season 4 when it aired, but only finished it last week before starting season 5 because I couldn't get into it. I'm only 3 episodes in to season 5 and it's great so far.

Bye Eagles bye!

So typically shit that the Eagles get to play he Buccs and Lions to get to the NFCC game though.

Goff-Stafford trade one of the very few that has worked out very well for both sides.

So targeting population areas is genocide? To play devil's advocate, name me a war where population areas aren't targeted, please
I don't personally know of any other wars where the countries being bombed has it's civilians told to use certain roads, or move to certain areas.. only to have those roads and areas bombed. Quite clear intent. Genocide does require intent.

I am really struggling with his attitude on the pitch though honestly. There was a point in the second half where he's flailing his arms around, and lets the defender walk past him. Ollie then sprints past him to get in to position. We win the ball back and he's still throwing his arms around and not showing for the ball.
I appreciate he puts himself about a bit and we did look better after he came on. But it seems anything and everything triggers him and he loses his head.

The Lenglet yellow was the one that confused me most. Had had Dougie, Tarkowski, Coleman all getting involved. Legnlet basically did nothing. Just shows a referee that has no idea what's going on, lost control of the game and dishes out random yellows.

What is it that they disagree with? You're not answering why you think this is a genocide.
The targeting of population areas is obvious enough. Israel telling the people of Gaza it's safe to go somewhere, then bombing it, makes their intent quite clear.
Genocide isn't only genocide when it's been completed. Keep in mind it's been a few months, Israel are only really getting started.

VAR constantly seems like it’s desperately trying to deny goals.
While I don't necessarily disagree, you get mass outrage either way. If something is 'close', like was Lenglet foulng him? (ignoring the actual offside aspect) you will get people on both sides complain when the decision they believe should be given isn't given.
Diaby's goal at Burnley and 2 of our goals against Brighton could've been chalked off and there were complaints at the time. Just a point that even when VAR gives goals in grey areas, people will still not be hapy.

Review every decision of every game with a committee, make it last 10 hours if need be.
Or simply have no rules, just play prison rules football.
Both would be better options than the current state of officiating

No idea why it took so long. It was very clear.

Make the games last 5 hours and review every decision. Referees are killing football.

Profile on him in the Sunday times today. Nothing too groundbreaking in it but he comes across well. He’s very well thought of at the 76ers and if he replicates the financial growth he managed there at Villa we’ll be in good shape.
As much as I dislike thm, there are a fair amount of similarities in terms of history/stature/'underachieving'/city size between Villa and Philly.

Blues
Barcelona
City
Albion
Wolves
Coventry
Newcastle
Spurs
Celtic
Arsenal
Arsenal probably interchangable with others; but their recent bizarre obsession with us/Emery/Emi is annoying and weird. All the others could disappear from football and the sport would be better off.- 1

I feel like the NFL more than any league gets more and more injuries as the season goes on due to wear and tear, and it somewhat spoils the playoffs. Dolphins have been great to watch most of the season, but through no real fault of their own they go out with a whimper.
And the league thought it was a good idea to add an additional game. Gross.- 1

We're in the title race until we're not. And we're currently in one. In a months time we might not be.
But I do think City win the league easily. It's kind of a given when one team gets to play by different rules.

If that turns out to be the crest I'll be over the moon, that looks unreal.
Same. Not only will we have a good badge. We'll have the best on in the league by a distance.

Unsure if this has done the rounds already. Better with no shadow and a bit of gold.
If this is indeed real they've absolutely knocked it out of the park.

Reading this thread makes me realise just how fortunate I am to never have driven. I imagine it's something that once you start it's hard to let go as well. So many cons going on regarding insurance, fuel, etc.

I've got no problem with them being told to check things like that, but clearly we're still in this shit situation where refs feel obliged to overturn their decision if they're being told to check. Probably because of the high bar/clear and obvious bollocks.
The ref in the middle should be free to review his own decision and make his own mind up. If he's been told to check this he shouldn't be thinking "I must be wrong so I'm going to change it"
He should be free to say "yeah I've seen it again and I'm happy with my original decision"
I'd like to see the stats on how many decisions have been stuck with.
The only one that comes to mind is the Villa penalty v Palace. Genuinely can't think of another.

You can't be saying that Deano should've taken up automatically? If you just mean that we should've been able to gain automatic promotion at the start of each season we spent in the Championship, then yes absolutely.
Yeah, I meant we should've basically gone up autos every season. Deano obviously didn't have the same opportunity given he didn't manage a full season. It was more a point to hammer home that despite not rating Deano as a manager, steve Bruce had a full season and still couldn't do what he did.

Yeah, when do we all get blamed for not seeing it and just disrespecting him fo being silly.
Deli Ali got ripped to shreads for being a lazy shit, an doing f**** all for ages, still continues to do f*** all, but because he did that Phil Neville interview we had to cut him some slack.
Even if you think it's acceptable to say what people have said to Dele, the reality was he wasn't really doing any harm by just being shit at football and lazy. Barton is just being a horrible Representative for Wellingborough and encouraging pile ons where women are being routinely abused.

Newcastle were the biggest spenders in the PL from it's inception to Roman taking over Chelsea. I find it very hard to have sympathy that they can't just continue to be the top spenders again. They had their chancer and **** it.
