Just got home from work - my findings Home shirt = really like, dont know what the fuss is about with the chequered (yes it is chequered - not checkered !!!!) design. Away kit - nice but a bug bear which I will come to in a minute Goalie - Jesus H christ - bloody discgusting, but quite frankly, who cares, who buys them ! Away kit. Now I actually quite like this but there is a part of me that sees this (and other teams) as a way of Nike Americanising the sport.Its been happening for years now. When did injury time become added time , or even more bloody annoying - regulation time etc...etc.... Now, I dont know whether people know, but in Baseball, the away team ALWAYS wear black. And guess what most Nike away kits are becoming...... Next thing , mark my words will be after every goal it coming up "Ahsley Young's goal wsa today sponsored by......." Rant over !

Cant really tell from the piccie Wonder if it is skin tight like a lot of the world cup kits - can you imagine some of the sights on the holte if it is !!!. For all those who don't like it - remember, it could have had packaging tape all across it like the France kit ! (how many people do you know actually said "why have they got masking tape on the back ?"

That will be the first question I ask the Gen when it is re-open. When the new regime came in they said it was a priority to keep a shirt for a period of time - 2 or 3 years were mentioned. Because of various reasons which I can understand , deal with 32 Red, then the yearly thing with Acorns, we could not do it. There is nowno excuse, we have Nike and FX Pro for at least 3 yrs - so i would hope they now stick to what they said.

Well personally I think it is lovely (going on the link two pages back) It looks like a traditional Villa kit, and I have no problems with the checks - we had the stripe down the side in 81 and look what happened then. And the sponsor, its a sponsor - what more do you want. it is in white which is all we can ask - it makes me laugh how people get so wrapped up on who is sponsoring us - who carea as long as we get the dosh. I seriously, seriously, seriously, seriously do not know why people want Rodellaga He is 24 , so he isn't some 18 yr old. He has scored 13 goals in two years He scored 8 goals last year. In short, he is big strong, and scores the very occasional goal. Funny that, I thought we already had someone like that that 99% of us would carry to another club to get rid of !. The only thing I can think of is people of just judging him on "that goal" - coz he did absolutely sod all for the majority of the season. Goalscorer needed ! EDIT I said big - he is only 5'11 - so he isn't even that ! And he is 25 this month

Instead of putting the same message on a number of threads I thought I'd put it here. I tend to think if a link appears in one paper, it is generally rubbish. As I said As a kit - no As a normal t-shirt , in a kit type material - definate yes But sadly, the most thought that goes into our range is a claret coloured rugby top and for some reason as they went out in the 1980's - polo shirts !

Not on these 3 appearances, but if I was MON I would be tasking one of his team to start getting some videos out and seeing if he is this good usually. I have always said on here - Park is probably the most under rated player at OT - and I wonder how many shirts he sells in the far east !

I would to be honest. The reason is, I could see why Barry left. Last year, I couldn't see us challenging top 4, and with all the signings City were making, it looked a shoe-in. However, having seen the season pan out - no matter how much money City spend next year, I still don't think they will get top 4 - I still think Spurs will be ahead of them, and if we invest wisely with the players we all know we need, I still think we will be, even if we spend 30m to their 300m. I don't think Mancini is good enough. So, given that, if he goes to Man City, to me, he will be going purely and simply for money and nothing else.I hope he is bigger, and values his career more than this.

I am not conviced about it being the actual kit, but someone should show this to the Gen. That is the type of designing we should have in our range. if that was a normal shirt, but in a kit material - I'd have one like a shot. And my son who is 10 would - so that would be 2 sales ! But no, lets just stick with a Rugby shirt with a Villa badge on it shall we !

Villa shirts must have blue sleeves coz we are Aston Villa - very simple !. You can doss around with the away shirt all you want, but home shirt, Claret and Blue I honestly cannot believe there are Villa fans out there than dont think this. On the new shirt. Have you noticed how many of the WC shirts are skin tight !. I bloody hope to god ours isn't, I ain't got the best of bodies, I've got the lumps but in the wrong places. Can you imagine how some would look !

I have just put these words into a search engine Litex Manolev Villa and 100's of pages come back, all from now saying us and Man City are tracking PSV's Manolev. there is not one page saying that we had bid / they had turned us down / he had turned us down etc... Now I put Villa Zigic in and every page says either Villa deny bid made , or agent states Villa were interested. Opinion, I have not / cannot see anything saying we made any attempt for this manolev at lovech And I will believe MON / Villa / his agent / and every sports journo in Europe over this MM who has no evidence to back things up. And the two that did happen out of the blue - Dunne and Heskey , he totally denied we were interested in them ! I'll stick to the In the shirt on the pitch thing cheers

Because given Joe Hart has just got into the England Squad do you think he would have agreed to go back (and he said he wanted to when asked) and sit on the bench like Guzan. Joe Hart will be man City's No.1 next year without a doubt. Wrong in my opinion coz I think Given is absolutely immense - but Hart will be first choice. Evening all. Not on here long for obvious reasons - just got home from work to see the spec and apparently Frey. I know him, but dont really know how good he is. I think though GK is a position we need to fill. Freidal cannot go on forever and he should be fazed out next year. Now Hart is back at City, I cant see Given being too happy about being No.2 - thats who I'd go for. On this MM thing. If I was everyone, I'd take it all with a pich of salt. It was me who pulled him up on the ST figures - have a look. On the signings, the only ones he got right were not rocket science, we could have all predicted we would sign the players we did (with exception of Beye) but I cant remember how far in advance this was given. People say - he was right we were interested in Schneider etc... yeah - I can tell you that. I also know no one at all at Villa park - and the only ITK knowledge I had is I used to work with bentleys brother but no longer do, so lost that knowledge. However - I'll predict we are "interested" in Keane, Doyle , Rodellaga , Bellamy, Van de Vaart, Richards , Ireland (could say a few others but you get my drift)/ Now , come the start , if it is said MON looked into these players - does this make me some ITK genius - or just a Villla fan who follows the club and knows the type of players MON goes for. I know what I think ! EDIT re the above - two days before that post I was Tunisia. The only time I get papers. I definately read in Tunisia were were signing Delph but were haggling on a fee. So that was known before that post !!!! (and I can assure you this as a) I flew back the day before that post , I was talking to the owner of a bar who was a Leeds fan about him !)

As I said with both, I think the problem with Babel and Kuyt was benitez rather than themselves. They have been stifled. I think Kuyt is a better player, but it wouldn't surprise me if both left and they both went on to perform for their new club.
