Not quite sure where I am going with this idea so bear with me. I know the club are looking at ways of allowing season ticket holders to sell back tickets for fixtures when they cannot attend. It seems to me that this only encourages lower attendances. Would it be possible to have system that actively encourages fans to lend their season tickets to friends or family when they cannot attend, with some some sort of formal club scheme. If people who would not normally contemplate a visit to the football got their first taste in this way then its a great way to get new people through the turnstiles and hopefully create a few "converts" along the way. If this lending could be incentivised so that the ST holder got maybe a club shop voucher if the person subsequently bought tickets for another game, everyone would be a winner. Just an idea.. :roll:

General Great things going on at the club, keep up the good work. I know this may seem a minor point, but when so much work is going on behind the scenes to re-engage with the Villa fanbase and get supporters behind the team I hope, like me you may find the following observation somewhat disappointing. As season ticket holders in the family enclosure and with a 12 year old son who loves to come and watch the Villa, we always try and get to the ground early to soak up as much of the pre-match atmosphere as possible. Part of that includes watching the team coaches arrive and the players get off the coaches. From the number of people waiting with small children, many other parents bring their kids along early for this very reason as well. Now while everyone accepts that the players are focused on the game ahead and I don't think anyone expects anyone to stop and sign autographs, not a single player with the exception of John Carew even bothered to turn their head through 90 degrees as they got off the coach last night and give the fans a smile or a nod or a wave or any form of acknowledgement. I just wonder why this is. When the programme is full of pictures of players shaking the hands of corporate clients, I just wonder how much a smile costs?

General, I agree entirely that a few always ruin it for the majority, but couldn't the parking issue for some of these people be resolved by a system on match days where in order to park in the acr park during the day, you have to surrender your season ticket at the barrier. When you leave you get it back. No point in early parking if you can't get in to the game!

The number of ball that are hoofed out of defense straight up front shows how little confidence there is in actually being able to move the ball through midfield. We give the ball back too easily and force the midfield to play deep. We need players that can play the ball on the floor. We've got one of the best pitches in the PL and we can't play it along the ground!

The General indicated a while ago that the away supporters would not be behind the goal next season.

Can the site be unique to avfc rather than a premiertv clone site like loads of other club sites?

Hi General Is it possible to have more information on Reserve games on the avfc website. All we get are the dates of the games, nothing about what time or the venue?

Is the Charlton match on 20th at VP?
