    Pre Match Thread

    This game could go a long way to either relegating Burnley or retaining their Premier League status. Over the few weeks I think the obvious approach when playing them is “desire”. I really hope we win the battle early on to play our own game and not find our backs to the wall because we don’t fancy it. They’ll fight for sure, but we surely have the better quality.

    A strong finish to the season will do us the world of good and seeing the Norwich game play out, I think Gerrard will now go with Watkins and Ings up top. Iroegbunam made a really promising debut last week, but I’m not sure if Turf Moor is the right place to give him his second start.

    Whatever team Gerrard starts with, I’d like to see Buendia, Iroegbunam and Nakamba get some minutes again on the pitch. Going to say a very ugly 1-2 win. UTV

    I’ve given up even trying to buy new kit for the kids over the summer, when they want to wear it on holiday etc.  Such a missed opportunity by the club. Kids aren’t bothered by the time they’re back in school in September.

    I really don’t mind the banter on here and to be honest, he wouldn’t care less would he? He’s living the dream with a top club and his obscene money etc. 

    We can laugh but he’s still played in a Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid in the Bernabeu, something he was unlikely to do with us unfortunately. We’re absolutely miles away from living that dream.

    Rumour has it that Klopp has no idea who Liverpool will sign. Diaz turned up in an Amazon Prime box with a bow on it. 


    Everyone knows a first team coach just puts the cones and bibs out, nothing more.

    I have it on good authority that Gerrard even goes one step further and takes the breakfast order for the lads, with McGinn always having a BEST! Proof below for the doubters.

    Still didn’t see that result yesterday. Absolute lifeline and gives them more than just hope.

    Still massively in trouble but Leeds could be the one to go now.

    Lost 7-0 to Arsenal this afternoon and quite honestly it could have been 10 or more.

    Was always going to be a difficult fixture and missing Allen and Scott didn’t help but I expected a little more from us.

    We’ve got a lot to do in the summer again in order to be competitive next season. A striker or two is an absolute must for starters but we probably need 5 or 6 players again of better quality.

    Axel is 25 in November and really needs to start playing regular football now. Honestly don’t think he’s good enough for a Premier League team.

    We’ve actually done better getting Chambers on a free.

    The return of Deano and I think it’ll be quite emotional, especially at the start when he comes out and gives everyone a wave. However, we need to be as professional as we can and win the game, simple as. Norwich are bottom for a reason, they’re a poor side.

    Now I know what team I’d like to see but I also know what team Gerrard is likely to start the game with. Either way, we should have enough quality to get the three points. If everything clicks, we could see another Southampton performance and win by three or four goals.
