Three home games in nine days, starting Tuesday evening. It’ll be a real tough one, but every side is beatable. Under the lights and a sell out crowd, we’ll give them a good game.
Changes in these three home games will need to be made, but I’d start the same side on Tuesday as the one that started yesterday. It worked and I think it could suit us for this game especially. Konsa needs a good game and fingers crossed he has one.
Leaving Coutinho on the bench against his old club would be a big call, but the right one to start the game I reckon. Gerrard even used his subs well yesterday and will be crucial again here.
Martinez
Cash Konsa Mings Digne
Chambers
McGinn Luiz
Buendia
Ings Watkins
Subs: Olsen, Feeney, Young, Nakamba, Iroegbunam, Sanson, Chukwuemeka, Coutinho, Traore.
Here’s hoping Man City win well today and dampen this Liverpool side. Going to say an entertaining 2-2 game.
I predicted something very close earlier this week. Just Nakamba and Coutinho in for Chambers and Buendia. Hopefully we can win the midfield battle this evening. -
Mmmm. Have to say I’m a little surprised.

That's the pool team anyway. I think we have a decent chance, hopefully we play Coutinho and Buendia.
Such a dangerous front three but surely we can give their midfield three a tough evening? -

I ordered training gear for the kids at reduced prices. Shipped on the 6th but they (landmark global) have no record of the tracking numbers provided by the club. I've never heard of landmark global either.
If your purchase is with the club direct, have you not contacted them? Using your order number, don’t they have to take responsibility and either track, replace or refund your order? -
Think Burnley and Leeds may now struggle to get further points until the final day. Would make for an exciting end.

Dennis Waterman gone, aged 74.

My daughter is loving it today and the ground is a magnificent sight.
We’re not doing too bad but look totally toothless when attacking. Blues are fortunate to be ahead.
Hopefully we can get something out if this still.

I really like him and think there’s so much to come from him. He is certainly an upgrade on Targett.
Everton fans were gutted to see him go and we’re starting to see why.

I have that The Godfather quote in my head, I had to google it to make sure it was correct!! “My father made him an offer he couldn’t refuse… Luca Brasi held a gun to his head, and my father assured him that either his brains, or his signature would be on the contract. That's a true story.”***
Just sign the contract Carney!!
*** in no way do I endorse any violence towards Carney!!
You got me thinking though? Perhaps we should all turn up at the training ground next week, hold him down and tickle his feet with a big feather? I’m game.- 2

This is great, but I wish we could batter United just once.

It’s been like this for years, especially since everything was revamped for TV and corporate.
FA Cup Final is no different.

Had a really good day today. Drove down to Villa Park earlier today and bought the away shirt for myself (£15.00) and two away shirts for the kids (£13.50 each). Taking both the kids to the game tomorrow and my daughter (age 7) is like a bottle of pop ready to explode. She’s so excited, as never been to a game before and she couldn’t believe the size of Villa Park. I’ll have her hooked tomorrow ready for next season.
My lad (age 10) barely looked passed his Nintendo Switch but I’m sure he’ll enjoy himself tomorrow.

Dare I say this, but he seems really focussed and is cutting out the silly mistakes. Probably the best and most consistent English centre half in the country right now?

Creativity, energy and more. Just a joy to have in the team.

Konsa is a worry. Totally out of form and he’ll get replaced in the summer I reckon. Perhaps he knows this already and it’s affecting his performances?
-
There is something about him for sure and I’d really would like him to stay. Let’s hope today was a carrot and this contract gets sorted.

Got his team right today and got his subs right today. Very well done

I really dislike Connor Coady. Not sure why?

Can we now lock this one?

A very good result. Total control in the second half.
Some good performances.
Enjoy the result folks and the rest of the weekend.
