I actually like his arrogance, especially the way he was at Old Trafford and Goodison today.
There’s a swagger about him but a real steely underbelly.

I like him a lot but let’s not get carried away.
Not getting carried away at all. He could be an elite player within the next couple of seasons. He really could as all the ingredients are there.

IMO he has burnt his bridges so wouldn't want him back.
We've moved on and would prefer to see us develop the likes of Ramsey and Chuk...

Bring him back for £40m in the summer.
Not disagreeing with you entirely because Jack for us (football wise) was sensational.
But and a big but, something is not right with him. He’s certainly not enjoying his football right now but outside of the pitch, is it mental health, alcohol, drugs or women, or a combination of all? Big red flag right now.
I really don’t think Gerrard would want what he has become.

It could be an age thing but I just love Villa Park and would hate it if we ever moved. The red brick facade, stained glass windows, the mosaic, the Holte Hotel etc. It’s a unique venue. Obviously, we’ve lost some of it’s beauty and character over the years with poorly thought out refurbishments and cheap materials (ie the exterior of the Trinity Road) but it can be changed/altered again with any expansion consideration. The North stand will need to go completely but I would love the wrap around of three stands if possible, copying some of the Holte End look or at the very least consider the use of red brick and stained glass. I want that Tim Burton feel and Victorian Gothic Splendour everywhere!
Below are elements taken from other stadia, some of which are modern and we can copy possibly? I just don’t want to see steel and ugly plastic everywhere. I do trust our owners to get it right though.
Whatever comes out shortly regarding the North Stand area of the ground, I really hope we keep to a red brick exterior.Villa Park still is and can be a magnificent arena for years to come. I have full confidence in our current ownership to get it right.

It’s a shame what he’s become right now because he’s as good as anything I’ve seen play for us. Easy to forget sometimes but Jack was simply unplayable, unstoppable and a joy to watch at times.
I really don’t think he’s in a good place at present. Outside of football matches, he needs some help and guidance.

We missed him against United. He’s by no means perfect but important to the way we want to play.

Early days in his Villa career but we could potentially have another superstar on our hands. I’m talking big big value placed on him over the next couple of seasons.
He could even storm the World Cup and get a lot of people talking about him.

It been said multiple times by me and many others on here but we did very well out of his sale. The club as a whole appears to be far more professional right now.

Without being unkind, he’s honestly our weak link right now. He’s tidy and his positional awareness good but he’s very casual in and out of possession which frustrates me immensely.
I don’t dislike him at all but we can certainly improve our No6 area.

Gutted that they snatched a win today. They’re probably gonna stay up aren’t they?

Mina really reminds me of Candyman.

Looking the real deal now. Strong in possession and has all the quality to be a top international footballer.

Still think Luiz needs to up his game a notch or two.

I really like this fella. Calm, assured and has quality.

Grit. Plenty shown today and that little bit of quality was the difference.
Well done lads- 3

Love Gerrard giving Everton fans the stare on the way off the pitch. He carries some swagger doesn’t he.
Bloody love it.

I honestly think we’re crying out for a Bissouma type in the Luiz position. Luiz just doesn’t impose himself on the game and comes across very casual in his play.

Fab goal.
Keep our heads now and we can do this.

Settle down to a good Sherlock Holmes story, starring Basil Rathbone. Great intro:

Young Sherlock Holmes (1985) is on Film4 this morning for anyone interested. It’s a fun adventure from Steven Spielberg and a favourite of mine growing up.
You can really feel the Spielberg influence, especially when comparing it to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. It’s a bit Harry Potter also but without the magic.
