  1. That's what Jennifer Valero said  Baselayers fell down some stairs aswell?
  2. Top Rank head honcho Bob Arum said the suicide by hanging in a Venezuelan jail cell was "{the first sensible thing" that undefeated world lightweight champion boxer Edwin "El Inca" Valero had done lately. Arum, 78 and obviously worldly wise through a career first as a United States attorney and then four decades as one of boxing's leading fightmakers, was not being insensitive in his remarks to me Monday, he was just being realistic. "There's no need, no reason to play the blame game here. There were a lot of people, including his boxing manager (Jose Castillo) and Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, who tried to help this troubled guy out. I'm sure that Chavez and the government will help those two children (ages five and seven) who are left behind and now with a murdered mother and a father who killed her and then took his own life. "I was shocked, really shocked, when he murdered the wife but I was not shocked to hear this morning that he killed himself. Pacland - A sensational brawl that will never happen, Manny Pacquiao vs. Edwin Valero "I really figured it would end this way, starting from when he came down (from drugs and/or alchohol) and he realized what he had done to the wife. "So am I shocked that then killed himself, no I am not, because I believed he then realized he could either kill himself or spend the rest of his life in a prison cell," Arum said. Arum, who took on Valero for just two bouts under the Top Rank banner, said that Japanese promoter Akihiko Honda had warned company president and Arum stepson, Todd duBoef, that Valero had serious issues while living in Tokyo. "Todd was told by Honda that Valero had some real problems, drugs and alcohol problems, real substance abuse problems. The manager is a nice guy, a feeling guy, and he tried to do everything he could do for this kid. "What can you say now but rest in peace? Valero's smartest move, the only move he had left, was to take his own life. It is a tragic thing anyway you want to look at it," Arum said. "He wanted to avoid spending the rest of his life in jail and this way his only way to avoid it. Arum said Valero's gaudy 27-0, all by KO, record and his boxing potential is all "immaterial' now but he did pause to reflect on what might have been in the ring had Valero's personal demons away from the ring not ended his wife's life and then his own. It was clear that Arum fully intended to match southpaw slugger Valero against lefthanded puncher and Top Rank's chief client, Manny Pacquiao. "I would have had him fight two more times, moving up to 140 pounds," Arum said. "He and Manny would have been a great fight, two so energetic and charismatic punchers colliding. "I just think that this fight would have been a tremendous fight but now it does not matter. So be it, rest in peace." Comment removed - Bicks
  3. I remember reading that. After all of the '**** the commissions, let him fight' from fans it looks like they may have been right
  4. Made all the worse by the fact that he missed his flight to Cuba a few days ago where he was to undergo rehab On a side note, it looks like Ring Magazine can foresee the future
  5. There was nothing decent even said after the first page either so it's a strange one Anyway, Chavez to get him off the charge? If the rumours are true, he won't be facing charges.... Talk to me more baby! Drink some water, he's tired! What rumours? The rumours that he's brown bread. Hung himself, apparently. Just seen it over on Eastside. Predicted it would happen yesterday. How the **** they weren't watching him I'll never know. R.I.P you crazy really bad person

  8. And so the thread gets deleted due to a couple of idiots. Great.
  9. WBC lightweight champion is recess Edwin Valero was arrested this morning by members of the Carabobo State Police on suspicion of murdering his wife Carolina Finol Viera. According to the Staff of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal (CICPC) it was reported that Mrs. Valero died of multiple stab wounds and that Valero is the alleged perpetrator of the act. The incident occurred at a hotel in the city of Valencia. Valero, after being apprehended, was taken to the General Command of Police of Carabobo
  10. Froch. :notworthy: Carl Froch can suck my big toe Calzaghe is a villa fan Calzaghe is also a **** word removed & a fraud.
  11. It's true you filthy bender, how is it possible to duck someone using something that they could agree to.
  12. Just out of interest for anyone who said Mayweather used the drug testing thing to duck Pacquiao, what exactly would have happened if Pacquiao said yes and signed the contract? :? Surely Floyd's not psychic & knew what Pacquiao would do?
  13. Official fight poster for Pacquiao vs Margarito has been leaked...
  14. Dave Meltzer is reporting there is "growing concern" in TNA regarding the well-being of Jeff Hardy. According to his report, the feeling is he may be dealing with issues that plagued him in his last run with the company and also lead to his release from WWE before coming to TNA. Kevin Nash suffered a concussion taking the Swanton Bomb from Hardy and the belief is Hardy's ring work has been subpar. His behavior has been described as erratic and promos coming off as incoherent babble. Hardy is due back in the Superior Court of Moore County, North Carolina on Monday, May 10, 2010 where he will stand trial on drug charges stemming from his September 2009 arrest. Needs to sort his life out. Screw up.
  15. Better than the shite Haye served up against him Didn't you predict a Valuev win? If he'd came out looking to put on a fight you would have probably been right. I did as did many other people due to Haye's lack of a decent chin & bad stamina. Also didn't expect Valuev to have gotten even worse since the Holyfield fight but it appears he did. Good job Sauerland had options on Haye otherwise he wouldn't have got the nod imo.
  16. Better than the shite Haye served up against him
  17. I'd love to see The Miz at the top of the card some point down the line but I'm not sure WWE are as high up on him as I wish they were. Love Morrison but he's been somewhat stagnant lately.
  18. I mentioned to my mate the other day that I was shocked at how quickly he got over. Loads of small kids with Orton signs at Raw Monday just gone which is shocking considering the levels of depravity he sunk to in the HHH and Cena feuds :notworthy: Went to Raw the other night with my mate & one of his friends. My mates mate has a friend who wrestled Sheamus for a small promotion over here. Apparently Sheamus was a prick. And Sheamus lost
  19. Yep but most fans hate his guts and he gets booed out the building every week. A heel run for Cena could be massive. There's no way they'll turn him for a long time yet. The amount of Cena shirts at Raw the other night was ridiculous. It wasn't even just the kids either, fully grown men were walking around in Cena shirts. Nothing wrong with giving Sheamus or Swagger the title. Times have somewhat changed & 'paying your dues' isn't quite as important as it used to be. And Cornette's latest comments about Russo are quite possibly the best things I've ever heard
  20. Wlad's video>>>>>>>>>>>>>Decapitation shirt
