  1. Stellar Management are agents for Scott Sinclair, Robert Snodgrass and Jonny Howson among others
  2. I don´t know about England, because you are not part of Schengen. But I am sure in sweden, no workpermit, no visa. Makoun is from Cameroon in Africa. I don´t think imigration in your country allows africans in without workpermit and visa.
  3. I think 3 players stood out in the game, KEA, Bannan and Holman. The rest played a decent game. We played some nice football against a weaker team. For most of the game we kept the ball well within in the team. I don´t know how many players Burton changed, but they looked tired in the second half.
  4. The back four, which not were the same back four all the time, Hutton, Collins, Dunne and Warnock, gets lot off critism for the result of last season. Villa conceded 53 goals an avarege of 1,39 goals per game. That makes us number 13 in the leauge. We just made 39 goals, 0,97 per game and number 19 in the leauge. The most common results were 0-0 and 1-1. We hade a clean sheet in 24% of the games (Norwich 8%). We conceded more then 2 goals in 4 games, Man city 1-4 (away Hutton, Dunne, Clarke Warnock)m Man united 0-4 (away Hutton, Collins, Baker, Lichaj), Arsenal 0-3 (away Hutton, Collins, Cuellar, Warnock) and Chelsea 2-4 (home Lichaj, Collins, Baker, Warnock). So I think it is hash to blame the back four as much as many do. The big problem was that we scored to little goals. Hutton, Collins, Dunne and Warnock are not worldbeaters, but I think they deserve more credit then they got
  5. Could be true, but it is not Villa style to do business in the media. Take it for what it is, just a silly season rumour lika 1000 others
  6. Not the first fullback that have had problem with Nani, but he had a better game against Holland and robben, yes
  7. Simon Polusen modern offensive fullback. I wouldnt mind
  8. I know this is a wishing well, but lets be a little bit realistic and listen to what was said on the pc, some bodies in and some bodies out and Lambo will try to get the best out of the existing squad. Sure he has some ideas about where we most be stronger, but he needs to meet the team, see how they work on the training ground, in the dressing room, how they can obtain new ideas etc. And what options are available on the tranfer market, to what price and what wages? I will trust Lambo to make the right decsions. I also think it is a realistic goal to be in the top half of the table next summer, making life hard for everyone to beat and maybe have a good cup run
  9. I have asked for links to prove this. All I got is two drunk episodes. Nothing about trying to take over the dressing room or trouble on the training ground. Give me something more or I think this is a "rat in the pizza" myth. I think the issue is not so much that they are "troublesome", just not very good at defending - Warnock in particular needs to be moved on. Good enough or not is another question. We can always argue about that. But sometimes someone says something and all of a sudden is it a truth, starting with just a roumor, like "the rat in the pizza"

  11. Can we have one link about the "troublemakers", please. What happend? :| here and here probably more but can't be arsed to search. Thanks for the links! But I thought it was trouble in the dressing room or on the training ground, not a few drunk episodes

  13. I'll tell you now. He intends to change it and make it better I would hope Richard that any new manager coming in after the last debacle would want to change it, or else, relegation would rear it's ugly head again. But it is the depth of change i'm getting at! Will he for instance want to keep the back four as it is, or, ship Dunne, Collins, Hutton and Warnock out? I don't want to hear that he needs the majority of pre season to determine the squad strength. He should already know what our weaknesses are? Will he be able to identify the other problematic areas in our team that we have all been talking about on here for some considerable time and actually do something about it? Will he bring in players who are technically comfortable on the ball and that includes defensive players to stop us hoofing it? Will he put a better scouting structure in place at our club something which has been needed for many years? Basically, to revolutionize our club because thats what it's going to take to get us back where we belong? Obviously, those are questions that you cannot be privy to all answers, so thats why i will not jump for joy just yet to see where he can actually take us and of course the chairman has also to play a major part in that. We are appointing a new manager well familiar with PL and he will not join Villa if i didnt have a clear idea of the club and the squad. I think we can trust him with his decision of what players he want to keep and what players he will try to skip. Everyone can have an opinion, but i think it is little naiv to tell Lambo what to do Thats fair enough but you have to earn the trust of the fans and the only way to do that is to make the correct signings which equates to better team performances. Secondly having Premiership experience doesn't equate to making the right decisions. You only have to look at our previous manager and thats why there will always be an area of doubt when any new manager comes to a club. It problem is that it is almost as many opinions as it is VT-users. And I think almost every manager knows better then us. I have opinions, but I only watch the games on TV. I am not in the dressing-room. I am not on the training ground. I don´t speak with fellow managers. So I am to humble to advse the new manager what to do. :?

  15. Nobody knows anything, but somebody knows exactly what the board is doing, not doing or should do instead of what they are doing, which noone knows. Interesting thread though
  16. Maybe this only shows how childish Rökke is. Lerner collected OGS with an airplane and now Rökke have to show that he also is rich and can do the same. He also got lot of mediacovering
  17. Why everyone so concerned about what OGS is doing? The right question is what his agent Solbakken had been doing the last week. When did he come home from Birmingham? Where i he right now? OGS has an agent to take care of the details.
  18. Sure there is euphoria, however that doesn't take away the facts that if you read between the lines this deal is pretty much done. The only question in my mind is whether it will be done Monday morning, or once the Norwegian league enters their month break... I disagree 100%. This was meant to be an interview on the QT but TT broke the story sparking media attention. OGS is one of three candidates if you believe reports, therefore it stands to reason that those other two will be spoken to as well. I think we are reading too much into the fact Randy has gone home for the weekend. He has a jet and the ability to do that! Nothing to say he will not be back this evening or tomorrow ready for further discussions with other potential candidates. OGS comments are a "come and get me" statement, that doesn't mean that we necessarily will! I am not against OGS, but I do think the objectivity of some is being clouded by the desire to get him in. I see what you are saying, however OGS could have easily said to his board that he has no intention of joining Villa. If he did that then they wouldn't of been upset, and still upset, about this whole process. So firstly, I think you can assume that OGS very much wants the Villa job. So really, it is just down to whether Randy wants him now. The facts are:- It has been reported that Randy and Faulkner were extremely impressed with OGS OGS agent is still in Birmingham Randy has flown back to the US There is absolutely no news or leaks about us whatsoever approaching anyone else, or speaking to anyone else The most reliable source on VT has stated that OGS is top of the list Your argument against the deal being tied up is that we haven't spoken to other candidates. I understand Randy has his own jet. However, I have my own car. I don't drive up to Scotland on business knowing that I have to drive back to London and up to Scotland again only a couple of days later. I drive to Scotland ensuring that everyone I need to meet is roughly in the same place in the days(s) that I am around. Lets face it, there is no rush to appoint a manager and so Randy and co could have very easily have organised everything that they needed to do in a couple of days. Randy is a busy man... he isn't going to waste time flying in planes unless it is necessary. My interpretation is that this deal is 90% done. I have not heard of any journalist talking with his agent Solbakken. From what we know he stayed in Birmingham after OGS left. Why? for shopping? Or to finish the deal?
  19. At the pc, the Molde leaders was talking about three important game. They didnt talk about an important season with CL. I think they know that OGS will leave by the end of the month. OGS has been honest and fair to them, but the clug keep sticking him in the back. Why? Rökke? I think Villa already have talked to the managers they want to talk to. They hade the list ready aldready on monday. Even if they have decided to go for OGS they will be fair to the others and to Molde. Maybe the nice game is over now after the silly talking from Molde.
  20. Is this the answers to the 3 questions Rökke put to OSG 17 may before he fly to England?
  21. I would think it is Jim Solbakken, his agent and best friend. It sounds better to say "friend" instead of "agent". Yes, I agree with you, but still think OGS made a phone call to SAF before deside what to do
  22. OGS has turned down several offers från PL-clubs. On monday he got a call from a friend that Villa wants to talk with him. Anyone thinking of who that friend might be? I know someone very close to him, who is his mentor. Could it be SAF?
  23. Could be so. The club was only talking about three important games coming up, nothing more. Not about an important season to defend the title
