  1. if villa was the only option for owen this summer....he would stay at newcastle im sure.... hes waiting for the big 4 to make a move... there would be no point in him moving from newcastle to villa...when he has every reason to believe that newcastle could finish above us next season...
  2. if MON wants them both then i think he will get them both.. De Jong,Reo Coker,Gardner all fighting for the DM spot........very nice indeed... plus if De Jong can play right back then thats an added bonus
  3. the dutch have always produced very strong athletic footballers.... i think MON has seen how gritty and determined freddy has been in defence this season... and wants a bit of that action in the midfield area where De Jong would play.... i think villa's squad needs a few more beefcakes to intimidate the opposition..... or im talking codswallop and De Jong is only 3 foot tall and built like Crouch but MON just likes the way he plays
  4. well put it will be the first disappointment of the summer if we lose sneijder to spurs..... and we should brace ourselves for more... only on august 31st will we know how great the summer has been or not in terms of signings
  5. i dont know for sure but im guessing that there wont be a smoking area if you pay to go into a nightclub, you cant smoke until you leave maybe im wrong, but having a "smoking room" within the nightclub would be illegal under the new rules would it not?
  6. he'll just resort to the trusted glassing i'd have thought! haha valid... perhaps the geordie players have already handed in a petition for an alcohol ban :winkold:
  7. id imagine the people most delighted about this ban are the newcastle united players.... Joseph Barton will have to use his undoubted intelligence and sophistication to go and find another weapon to gouge out his teammates eyes with.... i am also looking forward to the ban!
  8. good news ive heard elsewhere that it is going to be all tied up on thursday
  9. if SWP is again available....he would be my priority top draw player
  10. c'mon jez who cares really? this thread would be about 10 pages long if it was based on credible rumours can we not just let go the fact some rumours are given more credance than they should be?
  11. i think this was posted a few pages back... but finnan would be a great signing.... ive sung his praises to my liverpool supporting mate all season..... a real coup that would be....... didnt realize he was 31
  12. true it doesnt give the whole picture but lets face it...its the quickest way to see what a player has the potential to do.... its not ideal....but its gonna be used on these threads all the time
  13. his kid was born prior to the game i think....last year
  14. care to elaborate on those rolling eyes of yours? do you not rate Fred?
  15. yeh you would think the top clubs would be in for him if he was available..... but like you say Cyber..... it may be a situation where other big names are snapped up first..... leaving other big talents like Berbatov and McCarthy...... its an interesting point actually IMO
  16. by dummy i assume you mean Mr Baros :winkold: *Ba-dum chhhhhhh* Weeeeeeeey!! thankyou i'll be here till 11am
  17. whats this Fred like then? i know he seems to score goals for fun...but what are his attributes? can he head?, is he strong?,pacy?,does he dive?,has he got skills?,fox in the box? ive rarely seen him play Somebody get me inside his head
  18. if o'neill has indeed been on holiday..... dya think he has come back early because he is surprised by all the transfer movement already?...... NRC would be overpriced at 8m.......6m would be closer but as was said earlier paying 2m more than he is worth isnt the end of the world to shrug off the competition
  19. i would rather MON lay the foundations and secure a couple of english based "very gettable" players first...... and then go after some "less gettable" foreigners..... than go all out on a wild goose chase for massive talents..... which may not come to fruition..... leaving us with nothing
  20. He's since said that he was misquoted, and that he is going to carry on throwing money at them. oh has he? balls! i still reckon they are trying to go in a different direction when it comes to transfers.2 years ago they would have never signed a player like sidwell on a free. i just hope they are willing to listen to offers for Shaun. Surely its worth at least one more bid for him
