  1. It is being reported in the press and on BBC + SSN that the new manager starts Monday, but no mention on OS. Why?
  2. Hi General It was good that the CEO made a statement yesterday, I only hope that RL makes the manager announcement himself and sits in on the press conference. I realise that RL does not like to put himself in front of the press and/or the camera but I believe if once in a while he did it, this would be appreciated by us humble fans.
  3. General What I am sure one thing you will agree with is that communication in business or life is very important but at Villa we only get Club statements and yourself on the internet. Its about time the faceless two at the top of the management at Villa spoke to their customers (fans) on the local TV/radio as not all fans have the internet or Sky.
  4. General I followed the Villa since the days in the 3rd division so I have seen many ups and downs and for many years purchased season tickets. During that time I have never seen Villa as rudderless as it is now. We have an owner who never speaks to us direct and has very little experience in running a football club, a CEO who has less experience at running anything and appears to be a bean counter, a caretaker manager who appears to be very confused about himself and this shows in his team. RL has done a lot to take Villa forward but I believe we are sliding fast down the slippery slope. I suggest either RL brings in a top football CEO and a top manager who he sells up and let some else have a go.
  5. HI General A simple question are Villa attempting to sign players before the dead line or are they on hold for whatever reason?
  6. Hi General Are all transfers on hold until a new manager is in place (in or out) if so we need a manager pretty quick.
  7. General as a member of the board of Aston Villa you will always give the boards version of events and unless MON has been gagged by fiancial handcuffs he we will give his side in time. You cannot be neutral in your position I can't remember you criticising Randy or the board and that is to be expected, yes you have sorted a lot of problems out (cold coffee,seating etc) but you are the PR for the board as well as a fan. We fans should realise that the info from you put on this site will have been through a filter. On the present situation with MON walking out on us I believe that the management of AV should have seen the situation arising and either sorted it or had plans in place to replace him. This does not show the senior management of AV in a very good light.
  8. What the hell is going on ,it appears that Randy has driven one of the best managers in the country away from Villa Park and selling the best players. Is Randy in money troubles if so sell up and don't drag Villa down to were we were before in came onboard

  11. General I feel you have over reacted to the criticism of the ticket system and the ticket staff. I am sure you would agree the sale of tickets over the internet has not gone well. This I am sure this is not due to the ability and hardwork of the staff, but due to several factors. Having spent nearly 2 days on the internet trying to purchase tickets (which I did in the end) I am sure the hardware/software is not robust enough to cope. In the statement on the OS it said that the site would be open 24 hours a day from 9.00 am Wednesday and no mention that you should only log on at a specific day depending on your ST seat position. I afraid someone was a bit naive if they thought there would not be a rush to get their tickets and I am guessing that the ticketing software was not able to filter the ST holders seat position if specific dates had been given for purchasing. I believe from my own contact with the ticket staff and Nicky Keye they are very professional but have been let down by the system or subcontracted systems which should now be under review before the FA Cup Final. The purchasing software saying you are in a queue and then resetting to zero after several hours or dumping you off the system during the purchasing process is very poor and highly frustrating which I am sure is the reason so many of the comments on this and other sites. People are willing to wait in a queue (we are British) but the information fed to them must be correct and if the dumping of people off is due to numbers going through the purchasing package then reduce the numbers being processed. The above is not a complaint but my thoughts after waisting many hours in front of the computer and now cooling down, I know the problems of managing computer systems and it is the quickest way to go grey.
  12. General On Saturday the Villa loudspeaker volume was painfully high in the lower DE refreshment concourse completely over powering the TV sound. I understand this is part of the safety procedures but ignoring the fact it blanked out the TV output it was impossible to hold a conversation with my family.
  13. General I must agree with villabromsgrove that it is rather a let down that the official Villa site cannot keep us informed of the Dunne situation and have to depend on Sky news. I feel again that Mon has let us down with his signings and can't see a natural replacement for Barry. I shall continue to watch the Villa as I have for 50+ years. PS I don't have the blind fath some have in this manager but I do feel the work undertaken by Randy has been positive but he should look to give some thought to getting a Direstor of football to sort out this transfer farce.
  14. 9. Literally for the umpteenth time, upgrades to facilities does NOT impact transfer funds. There is NO correlation. Sometimes budgets have to be changed and money in one budget has to me moved into another. What I was saying with my post that fans who rather see a larger transfer budget than fancy glass windows etc The money for either budget must come from Randy bank account!!!!
  15. 2 wins in last 18 games is not good enough, something is very wrong with the management/team and we can only guess what this is, the body language of the manager and team seem very negative. It is down to the board to sort this out. Yes it is very nice to see these improvements to the ground but I am sure the average supporter would rather see the money spent on the team buying a better quality of player. We know we have lost two key players in a small squad but the manager should have replaced them before the season started. Spurs seem to manage this why not Villa do we always have to wait for bargains at the end of the transfer window.
  16. Hi General Did you miss my comments concerning service and hygiene in the DE stand and I await your comments with interest including when we can expect a visit by yourself or one of your fellow board members to see what goes on in the refreshment areas.
  17. Hi General I feel the DE Stand is getting second class service compared with the Trinity Road Stand and at Trinity Road prices. Today my son and I ordered a coffee it was tepid (returned), the draught beer stopped been served by 2.30 pm although I dont drink at a match so it did not effect me. The condition of the goods on offer behind the serving bar is a mess (not the lads and lasses fault but due to a lack of room) The urinals are a disgrace a lovely shade of green, the congestion in the serving area at half time I believe is a safety hazard. So in summary we have no stainglass windows only stained urinals, poor drinks if any and congestion and we pay the same as the Trinity Road Stand when is our stand going to be brought upto the same quality or give us a reduced ticket price. We never see any members of the board on our side of the pitch and I am not the only season ticker holder getting fed up.( Thats before the result today)

Hi General I indicated on this forum at the beginning of the season how disappointed I was that I could not purchase a season ticket next to me in the upper DE at a under 12 price for my grandson.So far this season the seat has been occupied twice once by my friend. What a missed opportunity to get a new supporter on board and the club get more revenue.
  19. Hi General. Having paid a subscription for AVTV for several years the system is getting worse. I have been trying to get the interviews from last night match but the interviews are very slow stopping all the time. As simular on Sky is fine whats up? The commentary on the match was terrible last night with rubbish been spoken by the presenters and not describing the match. This is not good value for money.
  20. Hi General Is there a reason that the LIVE Sky match was not shown in the Upper DE prior to the match while we drink our coffee. Prior to this it has been shown.
  21. Good morning general For your information we tried to buy white coffees in the upper DE at 2.00 pm and they were not available only black also no pies were available. No great deal but not very professional. PS the seat next to me was empty again and if we had junior prices in upper DE my grandson would have been there
  22. Villa show the white feather. I thought this board had more of a backbone I was wrong. What can we believe anymore? We have a weaker team than last year and I dont believe in MON.

General May I comment on the PA in the upper DE it was terrible like listening to a foreign language and in the event of an emergency would be useless so I guess breaking health & safety rules for the stadium. May I wish Freddie a swift recovery and as an aside have you any other friends or relations that could fill the left back roll until he is recovered to help WHO IS TO BE OBEYED in the right back position.

Hi General I am fully aware of the the many positive things the new board has done to get new supporters to Villa Park but I feel the new ticket policy to charge the full adult price for children in the Upper DE and Trinity is a very negative step. I can see the short term commercial gain if you can get an adult into the seat but I fear you will miss out on many other children who are introduced slowly to world of football at Villa Park. Last year I introduced my Grandson to a few games and he gain enough interest to ask his mother for a season ticket which was are aim, but due to the new rules on tickets this is a no go including even occasional visits.

Hi General I was about to buy tomorrow my Grandson his first season ticket in the Doug Ellis upper until I read VillanJC message above and went back to the ST info and saw in small print that the price quoted is only if you renew. Tom my Grandson would have been the forth generation St holder but I am afraid this is to much to pay for a 9 year old. The seat next to my son and myself is rarely occupied and I believed restricted vision like mine due to the TV camera stand so would it not be better to get a child started into the Villa family than sat empty. We do not wish to move as it is a good seat and over the years I have been moved several times
